Is left-handed in a left-to-right language objectively better than being right-handed?

English is written left-to-right. Is it not better to push the pen/pencil across the page rather than to drag it across the page, a la right-handly?
(Vise versa for right-to-left scripted languages like Arabic and Hebrew.)

I'm left handed, but reading right to left would break my brain

Left-handed people push their hands through undry ink. Righties don't.

as a lefty, nothing about writing is easier as a lefty. constant pen/pencil smudges on your hand or erasing what you or someone else wrote.

I am left handed. From a writing for spective its terrible because yes, you push the pen across the page which means you are pushing your hand behind the pen through the fresh ink/pencil lead and it smudges everything you write. Forget about writing on white boards. The fact that my job now requires scarcely any manual writing/ipads don't smudge is a godsend.

I can't fathom moving my hand in the opposite direction (the way righties do).
