I haven't even seen her so I don't know if she would qualify. I just feel bad for her and would like to give her more than 3 minutes of sex.

Why not also prepare me for her never wanting a child?

My wife and I are in our mid-30's. We're both college educated, we're both gainfully employed (I'd say top 5% household income in our area, if I had to guess), and we both come from middle class backgrounds. Outside of work we really enjoy travelling and seeing the world together and wee're pretty active in our community and church. I am also an introvert who needs quiet alone-time after stressful or tough stretches at work or at home. My wife understands that I relax best when I am alone and quiet so she doesn't mind when I take off camping or to the cabin for a weekend. It's not all that often, maybe once a quarter. Due to our schedules, our preferences, both of our bleak outlooks on the future of the human race, and my need for quiet we decided we did not want to have children. My wife's family also played a part in that, as she grew up with an alcoholic father and it kind of tainted her views on parent/child relationships. I honestly don't think it would be fair for us to have a child as we would likely have to hire a nanny to care for it; I cannot take a step back from my company at this time and I won't ask my wife to be the sole caretaker of the child, it's not fair. I would have a difficult time working for someone else at this point and I would honestly worry that I might resent a child if I were to leave my company and go work for someone so that I could just work a 9-5, M-F job. Might I be missing out on something by not having a kid? Maybe. I know for a fact, however, that I absolutely love my current life.

Kids are fricking expensive.

I don't fault anyone for not wanting to have any.

Why on Earth would you do that? That's two minutes too long in my opinion.

According to Pecker's best friend, women want to be jackhammered for 45 minutes.

It's either going to be that or add 10 more years and divorce. It's hilarious that he believes the fire will just burn on forever and that they have transcended their humanity.

And I don't understand why anyone not having kids would go through the bullshite of marriage.

That's when you say..."No".

it's quite simple.

Please do. You seem to be under the impression that you're preparing me by telling me that she could change her mind. Which I already know is a possibility.

Same here. I've never been so certain and positive about something in my life as "I DO NOT WANT KIDS". There's not one ounce of doubt in my mind.

Good point. I've heard women dream of being with men who can only pump for 3 minutes.

but who doesn't like kids? This gets back to Petti's point earlier that most of these couples are not very likeable.

My parents are my best friends and have done incomparable things for me, especially financially, throughout my life. But there was zero doubt growing up that they were not kids people. My mom was very high strung and constantly upset with us over the oddest things. Without a doubt, my parents like my brother and I exponentially more now than they did when we were kids. Lol.

I don't dislike kids, but I don't find them particularly interesting and any interaction I have with ones in my own life is forced. Even places I patronize like restaurants are more alcohol or date night types. (Although kids are only partially part of that - I try to avoid places that attract large groups and no reservations since I hate waiting.)

I doubt Peckers fiance wants kids to eat shite and die. She probably just feels awkward and uncomfortable interacting with them. I've been that way forever. Even my new godchild can be awkward for me at times. I've never been the family member outside playing with the kids. I am only recently getting better at it. I'd hope that doesn't make me unlikable :/ I'm a pretty loyal friend and generous hostess. I'm the person who remembers birthdays and surgeries and special dates without a reminder. I care a lot for the adults (and kids) in my life even though I have no interest in children.
