Yep. I was at this weekend type party, and wanted to keep the drinking buzz going. I think it just masked how drunk I really was

Yea you can pound some alcohol while on that stuff and never feel buzzed.

I snorted a small amount once in college before I knew how serious it was. Made me not give a shite about anything, and not in a good way. I know it was nothing compared to injecting it. I'm pretty experimental but I would never inject a drug into my body.

Stay away. My brother is a meth addict. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Furthest I'll dip into amphetamines is adderrall. I'll never forget the first time I took it. Thinking about it makes me think that the real crap would be absolutely insane.

I probably abuse the pharmacist's meth too much as is. Thank God I never tried actual meth in college or anything.

Did it a few times about 15 years ago.nothing special about it to where I'd want to risk it now that I'm older.

If meth is like stronger adderall, I reeeeally can’t undertstand the appeal. Do addicts walk around feeling anxious & grinding their teeth all day while being unable to sleep? That’s what adderall feels like for me.

Because it is an upper. For people with add that is not a complication.

I have ADD & take Vyvanse. I tried switching to adderall a couple years ago because it’s free on my insurance, but ugh. It helps very little with my focus & mostly just makes me feel like shite. It’s not fun. I understand different people react differently to stimulants, but I’m glad to know I can knock meth & coke off of the list of drugs that might be fun for me.

Yes. Same with every drug. Heroin, cocaine, and nicotine are all more addictive than meth. Do you know anyone who's tried a cigarette and didn't get hooked?

First, I'm no doctor. But, as other folks are saying, this sounds like an awful idea. You should avoid playing Russian roulette with your health and sanity.

Who looks at the current drug issues around America and thinks: You know, that meth addicted person on the side of the road has me convinced... I want to try that highly addictive drug ruining so many peoples' lives ... but just once?

Second, ask yourself why you aren't happy with the alcohol/nicotine/mj etc. that 99% of people use to alter themselves that come without the high potential for addition that meth and/or Opioids have. Please seek professional help to answer this question.

Finally, according to this study and others the reason people use the drugs (in this instance opioids) is heavily dependent on whether they get addicted..

I know some Florida baws that do meth 2-3 times a year. They're the type that aren't going to turn anything down if they're in a certain party mood though.
that's not uncommon at all, despite what the media tries to tell us.

This. I never got addicted to smoking or any drug while high schools friends ruined their lives going through the same wild and crazy times in our lives.
