I have just started eating right and exercising as my doc has said I need to lose 15-20 lbs, (cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure are all slightly elevated) but I think I should actually focus on the shape of the gut. I would rather focus on my overall shape rather than just the pounds (or not look at the weight at all) When I was in much better shape I was 4-5 inches smaller around the waist and about 15 pounds lighter. I have an event that I am using as motivation to get there and it occurs in just over three months. What say the OT workout gurus? Is that too ambitious?

buy a vitamiX

use it twice a day instead of whatever you usually eat.

you will make it easily. comes with "recipes".

I got a refurbished one for $100 off.

or do a "standard" fast with juice machine citrus for breakfast and veggies for lunch and lentil/vegie soups for dinner. broth from Potato, onion and carrot as snack. as much watermelon as you can stand.

with either of those, you will hit it in two months or less.

Definitely. I lost 20lbs in about 35 days without exercising. Diet is way more important than exercising. If you drink water only for about 30 days the weight will fall off.

No soda, juice, coffee, beers etc for 30 days. Only water.

Yeah. Do Keto. You'll be there in half the time.

Keto fused with intermittent fasting plus weight training and cardio 5 days a week and you can be there in no time.

I was at 240 in September. Had back surgery in late September and really never had an appetite since.
Down to 215 now and I haven't seen a gym since pre-surgery.

My advice:
Eat healthier food like fruits and veggies (duh)
Limit sugar and fried foods
Drink lots of water
Do not eat less than 4-5 hours before going to sleep

Of course on top of this you can do exercise that focuses on high intensity intervals. In other words... don't just walk or jog the treadmill for 45 minutes straight.
Hit the ropes, walk for a few minutes, hit the stair climber hard for 5 minutes, walk for another 5 minutes, do 50 push ups.... etc. It makes your body work harder and your endurance will build.

If you consume 20g or less grams of Carbs per day and keep your caloric intake in check you can easily do it.

You can do that in 3 months. I did. I went from a 34 to a 28 waist and lost 40 lbs in 3 months doing nothing but light exercise and eating better.

If you do keto then get ready. Harder than you think going low carb if you not used to it. I've been on it for about a week now. Basically looking to drop 15 pounds around the waist.

Keto is the way though. Go big or go home! I do it every couple of years when the pounds creep up.

Losing 20 lbs can be easily accomplished in one month if you are stubborn as crap. Just stop eating much food

Why not eat 5 small meals a day (with carbs, proteins, and fat in every meal) and lose the same weight in two months? At 25g of carbs a day youll be like a zombie with no energy. Your body needs some carbs for energy. Diet is all about what you eat, not how little you eat.

Low carb diet with lots of walking. Can be done if you put your mind to it.
