I think the OP isn't suggesting "freaking out", but that it's lame on the part of the dipper to do it without knowing the diver is cool with it. I wouldn't ever freak out on a friend, but I think I'm within my rights to not want it done in my car. Of course everyone in this thread that dips will think its fine, and everyone that doesn't will think it's not.
I don't think it would be AS BAD as someone lighting up a cigarette in my car, but you dippers have to realize it still has a very strong smell that isn't pleasant to non-dippers. Any smell that is a result of your spitting is not going to be welcomed. Also, I've had a friend dipping into a solo cup that spilled in my car one time, which was absolutely fricking disgusting. If you're spitting into a bottle and screwing the cap on each time, then OK, whatever, but any risk of that shite flying all over then gtfo
