Is it now a thing for the husband to run to his parents after a fight?

Wife (no pics) got a call from a friend (no pics) today.
Wife's friend and friend's husband have been trying to have kids, but they've been unsuccessful. She got checked out this week and the Dr. said there was nothing wrong with her. She asks husband to get checked out and he refuses. He says there's nothing to worry about and they should wait a little bit longer. She presses, and he admits to a chewing tobacco 'habit'. A 'habit' which he claimed to have stopped months before their marriage as a prerequisite to getting married. A 'habit' which occurs 3x a day and which he has hidden from her for the duration of the marriage. Well, chewing tobacco, especially using it that frequently, can lower fertility. Fight ensues. He calls out of work, leaves the house, and drives to his parents.
I've heard of women doing that (hell, there have probably been 100 songs about that this decade), but a guy doing that? What the frick?

The last place I would go to is my mom's house after I fight.. She would ask questions and I don't tell her anything. I'd end up at a friend's house or somewhere I can BS around and not think about it.

Everytime I have had a fight with any of my wives or girlfriends, my parents were right up there on the list of people I did not want to talk to.
