That doesn't sound fun at all. Way too many people for a tiny space.Couldn't someone with an actual house have hosted it instead?

Their neighbors are gonna HATE you.

You are asking this question on a Saturday at midnight when all the mid-20's with babies are at home laying in bed browsing tigerdroppings.. and all the mid-20's who would agree that it is clearly lame to bring a baby to a super bowl party are out having fun. So you aren't going to get many to agree with you right now.

Honestly....it's really not a great idea to bring your baby out in public (except for doctor's visits)until they are at least 6 weeks old. Their immune systems are VERY vulnerable those first 6 weeks and who knows what kind of germs they are exposed to. I always cringe when I see people with newborns that young out in public. It's obvious they want to show their baby off...but doing so really puts the baby at risk for getting sick.

Also I would imagine all kinds of people touched your baby or held your baby....passing on their germs to the baby.

A 2br apartment is probably 1000 sqft. I don't think that's a huge number.

Can't you see what has happened? You think it's a Super Bowl party, but in reality it's a baby shower for more than one family.

Dude, i went to the worst Super Bowl Party of all time where children and couples were included.

Wife asks me to go to her friends house for a Super Bowl party. I'm like wait, wife wants to watch football, ok, i'll go.

Let me say, this was some of the best SB party grub i ever had. shite was 5 star chef quality and f'in good.

But as i sit in living room of small house, with 12 people huddled around, i notice their tv is smaller than a medium sized monitor. I'm like ok, this isn't that bad, i can deal with kids screaming, because i got a buzz on and this grub is really good. So then it begins:

Home owners wife asks if we want to watch game and play pool downstairs? I'm like ok, no one here has a clue about sports, but pool is a game men can bond around. As we get downstairs i notice kids are already down there and his wife announces they are going to put the kids in western outfits and have a pageant for her and her friends(female).

I'm still on a good buzz and just think they will put on cowboy hats and shite is over, but no, they come down dressed in chaps, hats, outfits for cowboys, cowgirls and indians. I'm like ok, this is fricking weird, but it's over. OH no, they begin to have the kids come down and model costumes for everyone. At that moment, i knew i was never, ever coming over for another party. Great grub or not, that was weird, creepy, ghey, and i was the only man in a basement with 4 other men playing pool and watching the game.

The one guy had a packers jersey on and i asked him if he liked Rodgers over Farve, he says, who? I knew then, this was not a SBP for me.

Yea we really fricked that first one up. Pray for him.

His younger brother is going to be fine though. So that's nice.

Well at least at a wedding there likely weren't a ton of really young kids there anyways.

What drives me insane is when people would come to visit family in the hospital....and bring their newborn with them. I'm not talking the newborn is the sibling of the child in the hospital. I'm talking the patient's cousins are coming to visit and bring their 2 week old with them. And will see us all masked and gowned up each time we enter the room, and isolation signs on the door, and the patient hacking a lung in bed....and think nothing of it. Not once connecting the dots and thinking "oh wait...maybe I don't want to expose my baby to this".

Well, it's actually the entire 3rd floor of a house. But no. I don't know anyone who owns a house here. They're too expensive. The cheapest house you're going to get in a decent neighborhood is 950k and no one has that.

Well that might not be too small.

You could always give the couple with a 2 week old a guilt trip and ask them "Aren't you concerned exposing your newborn to all our germs so young? I thought you shouldn't bring them out in public until they are at least 6 weeks old since their immune systems haven't fully developed and they are too young for many of the vaccinations they need. With the flu season in full force, you aren't worried? I hope you at least got your flu shots this year, wonder if everyone in this room got their flu shot"

That's some catty, smug shite. If one of my buddies tried to pull that passive aggressive shite with me I would directly tell him to go frick himself.

I don't think you understand what the word immature means

Some of my friends have babies and they are fricking awesome. Obviously they don't keep an infant in a strangers house for 4+ hours and even if they did, it wouldn't be considered immature

Yeah but at least the couple with the screaming baby will leave. Cause let's be honest...there will be people there silently thinking "dude why the frick did you bring your newborn here?" OP will be their hero. Win, win.

I've seen people bring small babies into Tiger stadium, pretty sure your super bowl will not be near as loud. This is what married adults with children do

Let me explain something to you. When you're married and start having kids, your social life falls off big time. If you're a good parent, your life pretty much revolves around going to work and spending your off time with the wife and kids. So on occasion, little events like this pop up and you try to combine being social with being the aforementioned up above. It's the only way to make it work.

One day, you will see what I'm talking about. And you will roll your eyes at the guy asking the question that you asked in this thread.

If the babies are doing shots for every touchdown like the adults, it's not immature to bring them to the party.

Maybe the baby will be well behaved.

We had some friends bring their baby to our Super Bowl party last year with zero issues. It's really a win because all the females who don't care about football get to play with a baby and the men can watch football.
