The only thing good about Central time is Monday night and Sunday night football.

Everything else sucks. It's the mentally challenged time zone when compared to the others.

AL, MS, LA, AR are all in it.

That's 4 of the dumbest, poorest and most obese states in the Union.

CDT is bad for you, your children and the future of this country.

Mountain is best for events happening in C/M/W time zones. Central is best for events happening in C/M/E time zones. Imo.

I would love watch football at 9am. As of now I have to wait for that abortion Gameday to end to watch CFB. Would be great to skip it.

central is the best for sports viewing

I grew up in CST and much prefer PST. Can't beat CFB starting at 9 am.

There is a lot of merit to that. Even in central time I can never make it to the end of the Pac-12 After Dark games. It would be badass to roll out of bed and watch football from sunrise to sunset.

I've lived in both time zones extensively and I think Central Time is better because like somebody else posted, many things begin and end very late in the East, especially if one must rise early for work.

Well, if your team is on the West Coast, you're fine because they never start that early out there, but if you live out West and your team is in the Central or Eastern time zone, yeah, that sucks.

I've got friends who went to Michigan, MSU, OSU, etc, and they bitch about having to deal with noon starts in college, and I'm all, brahs, I was already watching the second quarter by the time you walked in the stadium (going by what the clock says, not the exact moment it's happening, because that does happen at the "same time")

Have lived in both (in the east now) and the only thing I see better about the later starts is that usually the SO is in bed by the time late games start or the shows I like start. It means less bitching about what is going to be on the TV.

I've been in all 4. Central is my preference by far. East sucks. The other 2 suck even worse.

Very. I'm currently organizing protests and planning to file suit against Timex and Casio due to the hardships I've encountered.

I lived on the east coast. EST is the worst for TV viewing. My friends and I would time shift everything on VHS so we wouldn't have to stay up till 1:30am to watch Letterman.

Monday Night Football games that went into overtime were brutal.
