So you’re considering a move from Atlanta to Houston?

I'll take less character and soul than the sinking ship that is New Orleans. Gotta think about what is best for my family.

There are no nice restaurants here. Just Applebees.

I hear you. I wish Houston had better dining options. You cant even get a decent steak here (rolls eyes)

Nah. I don't mind Texas but it isn't my cup of tea.

Walton High in East Cobb County is a wonderful school. Has been for years now.

That's great but it isn't going to stay that way. Things change. Cobb is trending about 10 years behind Gwinnett. Don't believe me? Look at the school board and county commissioners.

Seriously doubt that with the average housing price in East Cobb being significantly higher than it is in Gwinnett

Will never understand how a LA board looks down on Houston and Atlanta. It's baffling.

This board consists of people from Ponchatoula who are terrified by people not from Ponchatoula and New Olreanians clinging to the last bit of pretentiousness left in that shithole.

The New Orleans folk have been humbled recently

Circa 2019 or so you’d have thought they lived in Paris

Better food. No state income tax. More messicans. Other than that it’s pretty much the same city.

You don't understand how this works. Those homes are being propped up by the 'good schools'. Those schools are getting worse and worse compared to where they were years ago. The demographics for Cobb are changing rapidly. The school board is just about full on woke now. Their decisions will also impact these same schools. They won't be making 'good' decisions I can assure you. Anyone who lived in Gwinnett 20 years ago knows exactly what is going to happen to Cobb. It's inevitable and unavoidable.

The board shits on every city because they have elements that every other city has.

Both cities are what they are. I don't think one is better than the other. I've been to Houston more than I have been to ATL, but I never went to ATL and thought "this is so much better than Houston" and vice versa.

ATL has some hot arse black women.

I don't think the traffic is a lot better in one than the other..

Both cities have a NFL, NBA and MLB team.

You have never been to Houston if you ask this question.

I have been covering Texas for a decade and lived in ATL all that time. I am being relocated to wherever I want in Texas. Houston was immediately off the list. Flat, humid and traffic that would make upper 285 blush. I don’t see any redeeming qualities other than my wife wanting to go to LSU games.

I am looking at Frisco (still hate the mega city that is DFW but whatever). New Braunfals (never know how to spell it) is high on my list since it has greenery and hills which reminds me of Ga. Out of left field I am looking at mustang island to have a boat and total lifestyle change.
