Atlanta is solid to me. I just hang out in the good parts.
Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, anywhere up 400, East Cobb and Marietta. I occasionally go to midtown, but not often. They way the greater metro area is set up, you have no need to go far to get whatever you're looking for. Every pocket, neighborhood, suburban area, or town has the exact same food options so there is no real need to go way across town to get food. Down town around the stadium is pretty safe from my experience and the braves play in Smyriettatlanta so that's safe too

Nah, Atlanta is pretty bad about it. Nashville is mainly hipster once you look past Broadway. Dallas is just Dallas. Nola is Nola. Houston is Houston.

yeah, i don't think this board's opinion of houston doesn't really match the rest of the country's. very inflated, at least as compared to other big metro areas.
I always just assumed it was liked because it's the easiest place to flee Louisiana for competent governance, economy, etc.

again, extremely fratty. The best thing about living in New orleans is that you are a giant if you 5'8 or above.
That height advantage would be wasted because it is probably the worst dating market for city with an NBA & NFL team.

too many aggies to be too fratty but it is absolutely there
i rather a million UGA frat stars than a aggie trying to play cowboy.

Id move to Atlanta in a heartbeat. Houston, not so much.

I like Houston.
I would hate to live in Atlanta. Houston has better demographics than Atlanta. I’ll take the Asians and Mexicans.

Yes every city has its fratties but Atlanta is the only city where I’ve witnessed guys wearing full blown masters frattire and sun visors in January.

ATL is close to the Appalachians

You see more Masters gear in Georgia than Texas? What an oddity

Will never understand how a LA board looks down on Houston and Atlanta. It's baffling.
Sensing you are a Applebees, Bennigans and Outback kinda person.

There are no nice restaurants here. Just Applebees.

Walton High in East Cobb County is a wonderful school. Has been for years now.

I do but it’s nearly not as common as it is in Atlanta and I used to live in The Woodlands

What I have gathered on this board's city discussions is that no city is perfect and every single place to live on Earth has its flaws except Bawcomville, LA.
