It's a strange thing. I've always heard going to the movies on Christmas Day was a tradition and I've seen packed movie theatre parking lots on Christmas but nobody in my extended family has ever done it and I have no firsthand knowledge of anyone ever doing it.

If you're Jewish, sure. Hit up a Chinese restaurant after.

When I was in college I worked at the Gaylord as a valet and I had to work on Christmas morning one year, and there was big Jewish brunch event so that meant we had to park a lot of cars driven by those going to said brunch. I'll let you draw your own conclusions on the tip money we made that morning.

Ah, so that's where your hatred of the Jews began.

Been several times on Christmas day - long lines at the ticket office and long waits for popcorn.

Do you know why so many depressing movies are released on xmas?

People would rather watch movies about people suffering than spend a day interacting with their own family.

I worked at a movie theater in high school, Thanksgiving and Christmas day are some of the busiest of the year. Either everyone gets bored sitting at home after everything is done or they hate each other and want to get out of the house

Same, good ole Regal Cinemas was hell those two days for workers.
