That happened 20 years ago. Conroe is no longer it's own town. It's been completely engulfed by Houston's suburbs for a while.

DFW Metroplex is made up of many independent towns and cities. Houston, like a bully, annexes all the independent cities and towns around it and make it part of the city of Houston.

When I lived in Dallas for a few years, I was so fricking annoyed with all of the news anchors, weather people, etc always using the term METROPLEX

Another thing that annoyed the frick out of me were "ISD"

Both were very lame and very annoying

buddy of mine works for TXDOT and he says they are planning for this in the next 50 or so years. He said that Houston and College Station would be connected within the next 10 years, and that is close to being achieved already.

And it takes us 10 years to fricking figure out where the best bridge crossing might be around BR

Houston MSA covers more square miles than NJ or NH? I’m not sure I believe that

Well I’ll be
NH 9,304 mi^2
NJ 8,722 mi^2

We can’t talk about NOLA and BR running together without mentioning the Northshore

In my mind Mandeville and Covington will be running together soon

Hell we had that thread yesterday about the towns off of the Interstate dying. On a macro level Interstates have been a magnet for development

Can we all agree that north and west of Houston are by and far the most superior to the other surrounding areas?

If by best, you mean unrestricted urban sprawl, cookie cutter subdivisions and shopping centers, then sure

If you're not talking just Texas, then I think San Fran/Oakland/San Jose would qualify as a metroplex.

Baltimore/DC

Minneapolis/St. Paul
