Vernon Davis is often the gold standard TE freak
One of these is Davis, the other is Watson

Davis is the only other guy in the argument pre-Pitts

Intelligence and common sense is totally different.
Ivy leaguers were always held in high esteem but look at what’s going on in those universities.

Which is an obscenely far distance from being the smartest person I've ever met, believe it or not.

Apparently Kyle Pitts is the new standard. The standard is reinventing itself every few years.
Vernon Davis should have been a whole lot better based on paper than he was.

Sure but having one doesn't mean you lack the other.
Do you think he has no common sense?

He ran a sub 4.6 40 at 260 lbs with a 35.5 vertical and 34 reps on bench.
There aren't 10 tight ends in the history of the NFL that have put up those numbers. None that played anyway.
Guess he has it over Vernon Davis because he only did 33 reps. But, Davis did run a 4.38 and had a 42” vertical
Edit: Davis was listed at 6’3”, but not sure if he was 250 at combine or if that was playing weight

Yes Davis has been mentioned. But there aren't 10 tight ends with more impressive combine numbers. No way in hell

Scored a 48/50 on the wonderlic which is stupid good. You have to have a near genius IQ to achieve that.

Based on my highlight, my response was to your None qualifier

You're laughing. I bet you couldn't sniff a 48

It appears you misinterpreted what I said. No big deal.

This guy is pretty freaky too

Why don't those include bench press? Part of being a good dual threat tight end is blocking and strength.

wtf with that height and 20-yard shuttle
Posted on 4/19/21 at 9:31 pm to Lester Earl
crazy how the heights jump with such a small increase in inches

I'd guess most people scoffing at the 48 score would probably score sub 35
