Asking for a friend
what does your salary max out at?
is there anything besides being an attorney that paralegal experience is useful for?

My buddies brother is a paralegal and he likes it a lot. I certainly think you could find a worse job.

Do they take the exam to practice law or are they more glorified secretaries?

You might as well be a secretary or an administrative assistant

Its pretty much being a lawyer without being able to do some things lawyers do and don't make as much.

Paralegals make more and they don't have to answer phone calls all day. I would much prefer being a paralegal

I always think of this broad when I hear that position

The lawyer talks to the client, gets all their information, then gives it to the paralegal, who drafts all the documents while the lawyer hits the golf course. Later the lawyer signs off on it and sends the client a bill.

Anything having to do with legal issues is you listening to other peoples problems, so yeah.

My buddy is a partner at a firm down here and that's basically been the last few times I've hung out with him. Him taking a call every now and then as we wait to tee off, and sometimes him picking up the round on the firm. I think he said anything under $1000 goes through with no review
