Somebody you enjoy working with and somebody you don’t? Or is it more about personality?

Few people even know what an average IQ is much less comparisons.

I prefer work ethic to IQ. I don't want another lazy bastard like me who doesn't do anything.

I'd take personality and common sense over anything.

I just know that I am finding it more difficult on a day to day basis dealing with low IQ folks.
They need to read some books. Study some maps. Watch videos of different manufacturing processes. Study history , geography, science and mechanics.
Unfortunately I think society is becoming dumber.

Being the smartest person in the room sucks, it’s a very boring feeling. I’d rather be surrounded by intelligent people that push me to do better.

Unless you're working around a bunch of PhD's it doesn't make that much difference. Day to day life is more about experience and common sense than raw intelligence, assuming you're at least average or above.

Legit IQ test from a Psychologist or the BS online "IQ Test" that is not based on the actual tests?
The large majority of people have never taken an actual legit IQ assessment test to know their real IQ.

You’re assuming a PhD means someone is highly intelligent, when it really just means they went to school a lot

One of the guys I work with is at a similar level. We work well together.
He tackles problems in a slow linear fashion.
I'm more of a shatter it and rebuild better.
We do not associate outside of work because our personalities are too a bit too rough.
Alternately, there's a few guys I work with who are about as sharp as a loaf of bread. We also do not associate outaide of work, they are a bit too gen z. Hot cocoa and flannel pajamas types.
I feel like intelligence is more important for woman in the workplace than men. All too often there's a dumb as shite dude who's very dependable if directed properly... But a dumb broad at work is a cancer

Smart people don't usually get bored.

Both of those are huge factors, but not mutually exclusive.

There’s no way to discuss IQ related questions like this without sounding very arrogant to people who want to read ill intentions into your words.
Suffice to say that being “high IQ” is not all it’s cracked up to be. Setting aside the obvious cases where it comes with outright mental disorders like autism, even for otherwise “normal” people, at a certain point you actually struggle to relate to how other “normal” people think. It leads to a very alienating default where you actively have to work to relate to those around you.
I don’t think the threshold is 9-10 points though. It’s really more like 20+ if you’re around a “normal” IQ (100), and it can be even higher if you’re at the extremes. And if you’re anywhere near the “normal” 100 IQ, that means it’s not a factor for the overwhelming majority of people you will encounter. Personality and other such things matter far more. But IQ does have an impact at the extremes.

he could indeed be a pencil dick, but there are plenty of situations where i'm the brightest person in the room and plenty where i'm not depending on the topic.
i'm part time IT for my company and regarding salesforce, Zoom, windows, Office 365, teams, etc. People ask really stupid (to me) questions about these products and i always have to re-explain the function or tell them "that's not how this works."
it's just not their area of expertise and sometimes it's frustrating.
on the other hand, when we're talking sales numbers and QBRs, i'm the second dumbest person in the room (because we have a true idiot that works for us that is the dumbest person in any room) and all those numbers are greek to me.

They dont. Smart people don't need external stimulation 24/7. They are resourceful. Now, smart people get lonely, which is different than bored.
When you get smarter, it will come to you.
