iPhone/iPad Calendar Strikes Again!

Today on my phone and pad calendars, I am notified is the first day of LBTGQ+ Pride Month (formerly called June). It is one of those non-removable embedded observances that clutter up an otherwise potentially useful tool. Meanwhile, back in the rest of the world, today is the first day of the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season. It is not mentioned on my calendars. Wonder which of these two things might have more impact on more people in the long run?

This is a weird melt.
You do know you can customize and edit your own calendar right ?

Just looked at my Google Calendar.
It’s a small tag on one day.
You can turn off “Holidays” with a click.
If I’m in Kentucky why would I want this on my calendar?
Turn off holidays and take a few minutes to create your own calendar to embed that only has the holidays on it you want. Pretty simple.

So you are saying you’re going to get a new phone right? That’s the point of all this?
“My damn iPhone went woke”...my iPhone did not alert me to any of this. Probably your woke settings

That's because it knows you're gay and you don't need a reminder

Mine doesn't show that. I'd imagine I probably turned off whatever stock calendar notifications they set up. This is a pretty first world problem though.

Not seeing this in my calendar. Probably has something to do with your search history.

Click "Calendars" at the bottom, turn off "Holidays in the United States"
