I'll have a very hard time moving back to Louisiana after I get out of the Navy. It's a shame my home state is pathetic in so many ways.

yep, i expect La to be at the bottom of these lists. But c'mon there's a need for a Florida board for a reason.

Sorry Bro! i grew up in louisiana and went to college there. Florida >>>>>>>>>>>>>> way better than louisiana when it comes to whats addressed in this top 50.

I will say if they added in the crazy factor then Florida drops out of the top 25

No category for diversity. Seems like they cherry picked categories.

Most of those states are pretty homogeneous. Mass and Washington being exceptions. But they aren't in the top ten in diversity.

I just feel bad that that's what y'all would consider quality dining. Like when my friend told me a story about how his girlfriends parents took them all to Hooters to get philly cheese steaks because they thought these were the best philly cheese steaks anywhere in the world.

Drove i-20 back from North Carolina to Texas recently. That was enlightening in a really bad way. Poverty and ignorance everywhere.

Who was it that posted the article about Alabama poverty being worse than most 3rd world countries?

There are people like that everywhere. If you want a great steak places like Nebraska are full of them.

Round the Bend in South Bend NE is the best I've been to.

I’ve traveled and lived all over the United States. Louisiana is the shittiest state in the US.

I never understood why people say “thank god for Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, etc”

They are all nicer places to live than Louisiana.

Loved it outside losing someone to a murder. Food not as good as Louisiana at all.

Sorry for your loss of a friend or family member.

There is a Cajun food restaurant on Pearl St in Boulder that I tried for shits and giggles. It wasn't bad. The guy who owns it is from Lafayette.

Up around Estes, you can find killer wild game places to eat elk, caribou, boar and other tasty meats. Some decent taco joints in Boulder and Denver. There is a sushi joint in Denver (can't remember the name) that flies fish in DAILY, and it's off the hook delicious.

Cant really argue with LA at #50, but I would debate the top 10.
