What the frick ever I guess your constant wishcasting of evidence didn’t work out very well.
Why are you so angry?
I was providing my meaningless thoughts and commentary. Nothing to get so worked up over

I beleive the state should have a very high burden of proof for damned good reasons when we know we have wrongfully imprisoned and put to death many innocent people.

In what specific ways would you like to have seen the prosecution present their case differently?

The Fall Guy…fell. As planned. The boogeyman is gone, and whatever scheme can continue again.

Anyone recall if anything was ever stated conclusively about the Gucci receipt?

I wish they would established a coherent narrative, and used their witnesses to walk the jury through that timeline.

Agreed.

How?? A 2 hour verdict? Supposedly at the 30 minute mark, they voted and it was 11-1 convict.

I mean it’s seriously as if you weren’t watching the trial at all. Do you have cognitive difficulties or a disorder?

Have a blessed evening.

The dude lied about where he was. What innocent person does that? Prosecution could’ve stopped there

I believe that the prosecution was a bit sloppy and disjointed at times, but mostly during cross. They overplayed the financial stuff during cross IMO.
However, if you watched the closing, the state tied all the evidence together very clearly and concisely. They took their time and laid all the evidence out.
And on the flip side, the defense absolutely shite the bed on their closing. It was awful.

Absolutely. See, we can find common ground!

IIRC: It has been said that whoever was down at the shop/kennels, always had a loaded rifle. For wild hogs, rabid animals, the most wicked snake in Carolinas- copperheads, rattlers, gators, and so on....
The gun went on the golf cart down from the house. And just in case someone used the mailbox kennels entrance there was always one down there loaded.
Paul getting dog treats from the feed room distracted- would be away from his rifle?
I don't think the dogs tail looked hurt-was it a lure?

No doubt. Meadors did an excellent job with the rebuttal today. He put a lot of heart and emotion into it.
I believe the defense’s closing arguments was decent but not great. Griffin jumped around too much and didn’t seem fully organized. This was the last opportunity to convince the jury or at least one of them that AM was not guilty. He never gain that connection with the jury.

We have property near their house. About 12 minutes to be exact. You just never know how close evil really is… Unreal.
You live right down the road from it. Many of the posters here, like myself, live or grew up in rural areas of the SE that have at least one Murdaugh family in the vicinity. Maybe right down the road. Old money, old power. Most of the family is good as gold as folks like to say; that’s usually the current grandmother of the brood or her recently passed mother, but people just know the family is dirty.
Lying, cheating, and stealing are one thing; but blowing out your son’s brains at point blank range is on level so evil it just makes me just, sad. I wish that humans weren’t capable of that level of evil.

Agree with all you say.

You use 2 weapons to make it appear there was 2 shooters. First thing he said to the first deputy arriving at the scene was "They did him so bad." He had this planned out well in advance and was singing his version of events to anyone who would listen the night of the crime.

While I thought he was guilty as sin, I'm totally surprised the jury found him guilty so fast. I thought sure it would be a hung jury.
Crazy!!!
