Why didn’t Cousin Curtis ‘Eddie’ Smith testify in this Murdaugh murder trial?

Because neither side trusted him or thought he was credible enough?

AM is at the scene minutes before the murders, Then leaves the property to go to moms. Then, the gun that matches the murder weapon happens to be missing.... For me, that's too much to explain away. If I ever visit my mom, it's usually before 9-10pm since that's kinda late for old folk

The visit to his Mom has lots of questions.
About 3 p.m. his Moom's caretaker (afternoon one) called and asked him to come over because she was agitated. Although she was diagnosed with and definitely deep into Alzheimers, she did notice when her husband was taken to the hospital.. She had Alzheimers and her son didn't rush the fifteen minute (normal drive time) drive to their house.
Alex Murdaugh felt no need to go and comfort his Mother. He waited several hours (five or six or ?) to go to her.
By then she may have been asleep or somewhere else mentally.
He sat by her bed for twenty minutes. I don't think the evening care taker mentioned Alex talking to his Mother.

The caretaker told AM that he needed to visit because she was agitated, but the caretaker also said that she gave the mom her medicine so she was fine for now

The last time he saw them they were still alive. The gun that killed Paul was potentially missing for years and the 300 blackout ammo is extremely common. Forensic ballistics is a joke. Any gun of that type that was used to kill Paul created by the same manufacturer would have the same pattern on bullets.
I think Alex knows something about the murders he isn't saying but there has been zero evidence proving he did it beyond a reasonable doubt. The State has thrown 100 different theories at the wall hoping one sticks. Even, yesterday in their closing they said the murders were planned "for a very long time" but they spent 4 weeks of their case talking about how the financial crimes discovered on the morning of the murders is what drove Alex to murder them. Further, how does it make sense for him to murder his wife and son for a one month reprieve? What did that get him? His dad was just admitted to hospice and was about to die he could've just used that. The State's different theories are all idiotic.

What is the story on Buster's alleged gay lover friend? He ran out of gas and was walking and was hit by a car?
Police at the time said it was a hit and run. However, at the seen there was no skid marks, no identification of him been thrown, and no other physical evidence that he was hit by a car. His head injury was consistent with being hit with a blunt force object. The next day, Randy (Alex’s brother) was at the scene and offered to represent Smith’s family for free (IIRC). When the State Highway Patrol was investigating, a dozen or more people said they heard Buster and the Murdaugh’s were involved but none would provide any more info or sources. After the death of Paul and Maggie, the State reopened the Smith case but there has been no official information to why.

I saw documents where AM's team demanded cousin Eddie's lie detector test results? Asked why his DNA/clothes were never tested? Ask why he was never a suspect?
Is this true or did they not get a response? Or a response they could use?
I just saw that Cousin Eddie had an airtight alibi?
They did lie about blood on the t-shirt to the grand jury, no?

They definitely lied about the blood on the shirt to the grand jury.
I saw the rumor before you removed it. I really want it to be true lol.

One of the jurors just got dismissed due to some type of tampering. The defense counsel is furious, must have liked that juror, lol.
I missed all the reasoning and what she did. Only that the jury will come in, and one juror will be released.

I wonder if it was the same lady who was falling asleep yesterday during the prosecution's closing.

Could be. But definitely a chick, and she was discussing the case with outside parties not on the jury, despite being warned not to.
He said by all accounts she was a great juror that seemed engaged throughout. But he just kicked her off the jury. And did not believe what she did was intentional.
From what I can tell, defense counsel liked her
She had a dozen eggs in the jury room she needed to retrieve from the jury room.

A dozen eggs, a dozen jurors... Coincidence? I think not.
And believe me, I've watched a LOT of Perry Mason.

Just chilling in the jury room with a bottle of water, and a dozen eggs....

I don't know, judge asked if she wanted to leave them. She said no, she wanted them retrieved. He seemed suprised and amused when she said that.

Given Harpootlian's strong reaction, I'm thinking it was the juror who was crying whenever Murdaugh started "crying" on the stand.
