re: Investigators When they KNEW Murdaugh lied (Page 112)

Two days ago, a commentator mentioned that Murdaugh had lost a lot of weight in jail.
Could this be a "if the glove don't fit you must acquit' extention. Dude lost so much weight he gave all his old fat clothes away?
Daily Mail report last night said Buster, Musdaugh's two brothers, and many of Buster's Mother's family will be witnesses for the prosecution.
The Harpotlian father son closeness could blow up in his face, if the report is true that dead son was living with an uncle, did not want to meet his estranged Father at the kennel that night, and only went because his Uncle played a "he's your Father" guilt card on him.

I noticed yesterday he kept looking back at his son. Is his son on his side?
Today the son isn't directly behind him. But at an angle to see him better off his right shoulder.
It is LIVE now with the first witness on the stand

I'm listening to the trial while I work, and they're playing the bodycam footage (no visuals for the audience) from the first officer that arrived on scene. Right after the officer arrives that ginger shitbag says, unprompted, he "knows" the perp is someone who was mad at Paul about the boat accident. Anyone who presents a theory regarding a crime before they're asked to do so is guilty AF.

Yeah, it was odd that is the first thing he mentions.
Also, the officer said that AM was upset but not crying or showed any tears. I know people handle emotions differently but this shitbag is something else.

agreed. plus his story is he was napping in the house when Maggie & Paul were brutally murdered. doesn't his cell phone GPS ping to the dog kennels building?
the part I am missing is what exactly happened to get both Maggie & Paul to that property? they said Maggie liked their beach house and wasn't into the humidity and bugs of their huge hunting camp property house.
they say they all ate before the murders and stomach contents of both victims were the same. so they ate, ginger dickhead Sr napped and didn't hear gunshots?
he went to clean-up at his Alzheimer's mothers house. was a burn pit at his moms, was it checked? burnt evidence in her woods?

Agree seems very rehearsed.
So they were obviously dead by looking at them and AM had taken their pulse (if I heard that correctly) yet he still kept asking if they were dead. Trying to play up the moment imo.

IIRC, he lured Maggie over there somehow and she told one of her friends she didn't want to go, but she said he was being weird so she was going to go anyway and see what he needed (or something along those lines)?
I assume he got rid of evidence at his mom's house. The prosecution mentioned something yesterday about his walking upstairs at his parents' house with a blue tarp? I bet the mom's caretaker told the cops about whatever she saw him do.
I also wonder if they checked the shower at Moselle? Had it recently been used?

Pretty sure he claims that he left to go visit his mother.

He coerced them to go there on some basis. To talk about something or visit, but I believe there’s evidence that he was adamant about them coming there.

Because of the Snapchat video, there is clear evidence that Alex was on the property. So it sounds like Alex’s defense will include a timeline that he was there with both of them during the Snapchat video at 8:45 pm, he left around 9:00 pm to visit his ailing mother. And then he returned around 10 pm to find the murdered bodies. I find this timeline difficult to believe.
First, it’s a stretch to expect that both bodies would in the same location as when he left the property. Unless the “other killer” arrived within minutes of when Alex left. It’s just too far fetched, and there would be other evidence. Either Alex would have seen another car approaching, or Paul and the wife/mom would have seen another car approaching, etc. But they wouldn’t just be frozen in the same location if they were alive.

I think the evidence shows he turned on his SUV at 9:06 and returned shortly after 10. The State said yesterday that he was only at his mother’s home for 20 minutes. In the body cam audio, AM said he was gone for an hour and half.

I thought the officer did a great job explaining everything from what he saw and explaining everything from the body cam video. Now here come the cross examination.

Uum what? His story is he wasn't even at Moselle when they were murdered he was away with his Dad.

He told Maggie that it would be the last chance to see his Dad because he was about to die. She wanted to meet him at the hospital but he insisted that she meet him at Moselle and follow him there. She also knew Paul was going to be there. Alex insisted that Paul come talk to him and he told his Uncle Randy, who he was staying with, he didn't want to go. Uncle Randy told him he had to out of respect for his Dad.

I thought I heard something about a nap in yesterday's testimony? The timeline makes more sense after reading your reply.
It is hard to piece together a timeline as so much was said before the trial. With so much emphasis on it being a revenge murder from the sons drunk boating accident.
Thanks.

I'm watching the trial and I don't see how this SOB can live with himself.

Defense looks little shaky during this cross examination.

He better hope there aren't any Gamecocks on that jury. His crusade to shut down bars in 5 Points (especially Taneyhill's bar) have made him despised in a lot of Gamecock circles. It may not make a difference, but you never know.

That know they have a weak defense. They are going to try to make the police look incompetent. They are going to try the OJ defense

The officer doing a solid job by not letting the defense twist his testimony.
