There's a dearth of European traditional privileged white male names like Michael,Thomas, Kenneth, Robert, Andrew, Charles, Stuart, Philip, and Harold in that list.

Weirdly, Michael is #15 in Louisiana when you look at the top 100s by state. It’s interesting to see popularity variations in states.

Anecdotally, Michael is the most common middle name I know. So many fam, friends, acquaintances, what’s your middle name? Michael.

I think for me it’s Marie for girls.

Out of curiosity, I just checked its change in popularity over time. It was apparently the #1 name from 1961-1998.

Marie definitely seemed like the most common middle name in my age group (born early 80s).

Good question! I’d guess Rose & Grace for girls, though Marie is still up there.

I’m clueless with boys. My 2 year old has Edward. That’s my only frame of reference

It was number 1 for maybe 40-50 straight years. I get ppl get tired of names or want something unique but to not even make the top 100 seems almost impossible

Michael not in top 100? I would've lost that bet.

It doesn’t make much sense. When you search for Michael, it says it’s 16 in 2022.
