Currently waiting on Little Punkin #4 and joined this breastfeeding group on fb, thinking it would help me with any hiccups. Less of an information group and more of a look at me group. Complete with pics of 3 and 4 year olds who still breastfeed because they "just aren't ready to wean."

Exactly. A classy and appropriately dressed woman can do it so no one would ever know. I nursed my son and most never knew i was. or we nursing moms would slip off to another room to nurse (and gossip and rest, lol).

This. They are being attention whores. I am very much pro breastfeeding. My wife fed all of ours but did so under a wrap and discretely.

Apparently some have either not had a wife or children, or have no awareness of what is proper and acceptable social protocol. It's a fact that well bred, socially enlightened, and morally conscientious women discretely breast feed in EVERY environment.. and no one notices or minds if they do...same as you describe.
