Appreciate the heads up!

laughing at own pun

Seriously, this is a fun thing to try and spot in the night sky, if you have kids, it's a nice, easy, backyard way to introduce the idea of astronomy and space exploration.

Thanks for posting. We took the kids out a few months ago to see it and they thought it was the coolest thing ever. We will check it out again tonight.

This just in to WBRZ, NASA is reporting that tonight apparently shots were fired at the ISS at approximately 7:23 PM Eastern Time as the station passed over what NASA termed “untamed terrain”.

Yes. Pretty easy to spot. Just have to figure out where to look at the beginning and the angle relative to the horizon. Generally, starts in the SW portion of the sky and ends ENE portion of the sky. It will attain 69 degrees max angle above the horizon during the 4 minute fly over.

Next time use the Night Sky app. It uses AR to show you where it is in the sky. Was really helpful to spot it at first.

Very clear until it move from directly overhead into the west. Then it looked like they turned off the lights. Also did anyone notice what looked like a smaller satellite going in opposite direction. Probably a plane but didn't see the little red lights
