We wouldn't have video games as we know it without D&D. Many of the earliest games were guys in college labs doing D&D based stuff. The entire RPG genre that developed, the mechanics, this notion of having a character and experience and leveling up in a quest etc it all came straight from D&D

There used to be this kid in my neighborhood growing up. He went to private school and played dungeons & dragons and his parents wouldn't let him play with the neighborhood kids because he got picked on a lot.
Im completely serious. He also played for the basketball team and he would stay in his drive way trying to dunk the ball with weights on his ankles. I 100% serious, sometimes I wish I didn't grow up thinking that there were things only geeks did and there were things you did to not be a geek.

I had a bad arse paladin named rueben when I was around 8 years old. The cheating arse DM killed him because he was jealous. I cried and the took his D&D manuals and ripped them up in front of his face.

He should rent his house out via Air DnD.

quote:You little bitch. I had back-up manuals because I didn't want your snotty 8 year old hands on my books. Good thing I was an OT baller to be and could afford that shite. I didn't know you would start crying when we made fun of your not knowing how to spell Reuben, Tiger Ryno, but I guess it checks out.

P.S. Your paladin sucked and your +5 vorpal sword was never going to happen.

There were the nerds and then everyone else. As long as you didn't act gay and wasn't a nerd you were good and within that group there was a wide range of of things one could be.
You could be not that cool, just as long as you didn't act gay or like a nerd.

Haha. Actually it's in French. German would be Deutschland. I'd have done that but I don't know what "in" is in German.
