Would anyone here date or marry a man/woman who admitted he/she had cheated in the past? I have friends who have done it but without question that's a "no" for me.

I wasn’t even talking about the OP. OPs are merely a suggestion of what to discuss.

Well… you made a pretty general statement and the fact that it doesn’t even apply to the OP is a pretty good counter argument to said statement.

It could for sure…I just wasn’t defending the application. Not ‘forgiving’ a spouse happens in most marriages, infidelity pushes that to the extreme.

My wife will throw a wooden spoon into a pot full of dishwater and leave it. It’s going to soak up that dirty water and be gross. It’s indefensible…but even after 22 years of marriage I just deal with it and not use the wooden spoons.

Then your weak. There's something's that simply can't be tolerated. Cut your loses and move on.

Even if you have young children - the relationship will be toxic and an awful example for them.

Cheating is pathetic and shouldn't be tolerated. Idgaf if it's "only one time".

I would never tell her I knew because it would cost me 1 million dollars, and that's not being dramatic. Child support and half the assets.

If you made a mistake and are committed to never doing it again, don’t tell her. All you’re doing is transferring the pain from you to her

Work or not, I'm not going to be the one to file for divorce. If i find out my wife cheated on me, I'm getting some strange that night.

You hear people often say "I'm getting back at my spouse bc they cheated on me first so I'm doing the same thing".

Cheaters typically deserve one another

If you cheat on your wife, you can expect to taste another man’s dick whether you know it or not…

My ex, who was a stay at home mom, decided to end the marriage by having an affair with a homeless, alcoholic hobosexual. It was a complete blindside. Kicked off a 10 year divorce from hell where by the end, she lost legal custody of the kids after the affair partner was convicted of beating her and our son, owed enough child support where she could have been charged with a federal felony, and had a restraining order against her.

Affair partner died 4 years ago. She just recently remarried to a good guy - I seriously doubt he knows the real reason for the divorce as he’s never been married and seems socially awkward. I’m just glad I don’t need to check the police blotter anymore to see if he beat my ex or the kids.

You’re a huge pussy for letting another man beat up on your kids.
