If it was say a drunken one time mistake by the spouse I think the other person should get a one time hall pass then work to move past it.

If it was an affair that was carried on over time then either end the marriage or go to counseling to work it out and find the root cause that led to the cheating

Nope. You know what you're doing when you're drunk. Once you get to the point you don't know what you're doing, you aren't going be able to perform.

At their core, all women love attention. Ergo, every married woman on the internet is seeking attention from other men. So you’re emotionally cheating on your husband right now simply by being online.

But I’m not here to judge you or your marriage.

What question?

Look I think it’s great you’re actually in the kitchen but I don’t want your casserole to burn while you’re flirting with me

what are you talking about?

No one has to forgive anyone’s but why would you stay in a marriage with someone who cheated on you if you could never get over it?

This is the dumbest take. If she was snail dragging like jmcs, you'd be right. She emotionally cheated on her husband just about every day on TD. Aspy isn't married and doesn't do that. Take a lap.

A couple of things...they were married for almost 30 years. She was 20 when they got married, so she didn't have "Martha Money" then, either. She was going to Bernard College while he was in Law School at Yale when they got married...and she cheated early in the marriage. So it wasn't money that made her a slut...it was being a slut that made her a slut.

Nah. There's already too much toxicity that's been introduced by the first act. It would be best for everyone, including the children, to move on.

I don’t know if I could be married if I found out my wife had an affair.

It takes so much trust to combine your lives financially, emotionally, and physically.

I believe I would rather live alone.

110%

I'd be shocked if she didn't expect me too.
