Infant/Toddler Food Advice

Surprisingly, my mom group was zero help and I don't think this is a food board topic, so this is why I am posting it here. Parents of young children, what table foods did your child accept first?
My son is 11.5 months (10 months adjusted) and still loves his purees and puffs/crunchies. He is really struggling with the introduction of table food, he even hates mashed up things. Any suggestions on finger foods to introduce that your kid loved?
My kid also has milk allergy so keep that in mind. He throws up if he has a cheeto!

Why are you feeding your 11 month old cheetos?

Our daughter is almost 18 months and she has never had any baby food or baby snacks.
We started right away with giving her normal cooked foods. From the beginning her favorite real food was garlic. She would (and still does) eat almost a whole roasted head of garlic. Hummus is a good way to introduce new flavors and good protein.

But how do you prepare it? I am an admitted super picky eater so I do not know how to prepare it. I tried mashing it and he hated it.

I'm not. Daycare offers him one here and there. I have asked repeatedly to stop and they have.

Not to start an argument about what's right or wrong, but I honestly think most kids become picky eaters because they are started on foods that are way over sweetened or salted, and then when confronted with "normal" food it's simply not exciting enough.
We didn't give my daughter any sweets until her first birthday after she had been eating normal vegatbles and meals for awhile.

My daughter loved Nutragrain bars when she was that age. Apple cinnamon. She would never eat baby food.

We would always just roast a bunch of veggies (broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc) and then cut them up in small pieces
Blueberries were also a favorite for my daughter at that age

Are you trying to say this is the best thing? I mean good for you I guess? Baby food is just mashed up normal food, like apple sauce. What’s a matter with that?
And, garlic? That’s great and I love cooked garlic. But that would be considered a very odd thing to offer a kid early on you realize that right?
Op, just go down the baby food aisle and see what it’s all made out of. You can buy that stuff fresh and steam it or cook how you want. There’s some really good combos out there now.

Rice and gray with some Bud Lite in a sippy cup. Mine moved on to boudin and crackers by 3.

I'm an admitted picky eater because my parents ate nothing but meat and carbs. I'm trying to remedy this, which is why I started this.

Step 1 - Cut ripe Avocado in half
Step 2 - spoon out avocado
Step 3 - feed it to your child
Scrambled eggs and we also did a lot of smoothies. This was our go to breakfast for a while. Handful of spinach + frozen fruit + banana or avocado.
