Easier solution would have just been to donate them to the school for girls when they need them. Of course, the mom couldn't attention on Facebook for that.

Did she not take her daughter to shop for her own bra?

“Sorry honey, I know this is new and embarrassing for you, but I need to leave you home and take your brothers to pick up your first bra, so I can score some woke points”

I have very mixed thoughts about all this. First, as a single male parent who raised a female child, you feel like "Hey, I'm a mature grown-up and a responsible parent. Half the world's population is female so get over it. You gotta do what you gotta do." So whether it's first bra shopping, first periods, gynocologist, or stopping at the drug store to pick up the birth control pills it's just part of the parenting job description if mom is not there. Just a matter of the reality of a world with gender differences, not such a big deal.

On the other hand, viewing it from the perspective of teenage boys is quite different. Nothing like early exposure to the fetish of female undergarments. Soon they will be taking little sis shopping at Victoria's Secret (and maybe buying a few items for their own cross-dressing needs). Way to go, mom. Like teen boys need more stimulation in their life.

But the thing that has never ceased to disturb and amaze me was the information that the moms either put out on Facebook or were otherwise willing to freely share. I heard which of their daughters were caught sneaking out of the house at night or suspended from school for meeting a boy under the stairwell to deliver on a BJ bet. I was a FB friend with two moms who proudly posted fully nude photos of their daughters (albeit not explicit). I wondered if those girls caught any flashback from classmates who stumbled onto that.

I think maybe the intent here is good, but just cannot imagine a high school girl going to a guy asking for a tampon. Most girls I knew at that age were mortified when guys knew they were on their period.

This. And the guy going up to the girl saying, hey, uhm, yeah, you look like you might need this, is going to be even more tramautizing for her.

Like, I get wanting to raise boys who want to help girls. And these boys will likely grow up to be fathers who will have daughters and will have to deal with this.

Few weekends ago when I had my kids, my oldest was caught in this spot. She's still learning her cycle and it's still not clockwork. She was very embarrassed to come to me, her father. We went to the drug store, bought what was needed, and now keep a supply at my house, as well as a few in my glove box. It is what it is.

Now, blasting these boys names and pics on social media? Most teenage boys won't see the honor in these kids, and instead will mock them.

This mom is very smart. She provided birth control by making sure her boys don't get any.

And she has a nose ring. And what is that dark area on her top lip? A burn mark?

This thread is proof the mockery is not limited to teenage boys. At least teenage boys in age. Teenage boy maturity is a different animal.

I do think the mom is worthy of mocking for the attention whoring of the situation.

We used to carry rubber’s in our wallets in high school. Times have changed.

I would guess just about every girl has started her period unprepared, especially at the high school age when they're still learning about their bodies.

Nowadays the girls start before high school. As a result of better nutrition, the average age has continuously fallen.
Mine was ten at school, but she had been told what to expect. The medical profession now defines early onset as age 8.

“Starting to wonder if some of you have actually ever had a meaningful relationship with a female.”

I think that is a question you should be asking yourself if you believe the first thing you wrote.
