They’re absolutely not doing things right. As of yesterday they had performed 80K total tests. Compared to the US which has done 1.8M. As of last week they had done 10 tests per every 1 million people which was one of the lowest rates in the world of any country with cases.
I still have family living in India. There are plenty of stories that the slums are getting hit hard right now. You have tens of millions of literally dirt poor uneducated people living on top of each other. The government doesn’t give two shits about them. They’re not going test them. For a long time they were blaming foreigners for bringing the virus.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister is ignoring the PPE shortages while he told Indians to clap their hands and making noise because the “natural energy destroys the virus”. A few days ago he told everyone to turn off the lights and light candles which resulted in Indians all the across the country lining up in the streets shooting off fireworks.
India most definitely has WAY more cases than they’re saying. Same goes for a lot extremely populated countries around the world.

Speaking of India, what is everyone's thoughts on India's reporting as related to Covid19.
They are the 2nd largest populated country in the world right behind China I believe. Yet they only have 4,778 confirmed cases with 129 deaths (according to worldmeters). Everyone knows China fabricated the shite out of there reports. Is India doing the same thing, or are they just some magicians when it comes to containing this thing.

That you have more downvotes than upvotes for this post is mind boggling. Foreign aid is an elaborate money laundering scheme used to enrich the political class and their families. Constant meddling in the affairs of other nations is very beneficial to a small group of people.

For that reason I find it really hard to believe those highly vulnerable populations are not highly affected by this now.
I don’t have a link but what I do know from people living there, is it’s it’s extremely hard to get tested. As evident by the extremely low testing rate. So if regular people have a hard time, the slums are going have an even harder one.
Another thing is that a lot of the deaths can be attributed to the virus but not directly caused by it. Thanks to the nation wide shut down, there’s an increase in food shortages which impacts the slums the most considering how little they currently have. There were also incidents of people spraying down some of these poor people with bleach and killing some of them.

Which countries are properly reporting their numbers in your opinion?
Saw that a poor Central American country has less than 25 deaths attributed to corona. Should we not trust those numbers?

At first I thought India doesn’t receive much foreign aid but they do. But I was surprised to see the US gives foreign aid to so many countries. It’d probably be easier to make a list of countries the US doesn’t give aid too. Among the receivers include some European ones and of course China.

I don't think they're actively fudging their numbers like China did. I just think they have a gigantic population of incredibly poor people who nobody cares about and aren't testing anywhere near the amount of people they should be. Last number I saw out of India was something like 87,000 tests performed or something like that for a country with a billion people. Meanwhile the US is closing in on 2 million tests performed for 1/3rd less people.
I honestly think they don't really give a shite and are willing to accept whatever the toll ends up being.

Look at that video and tell me there is a way to report or take care of those people. If this virus is as bad as reported... India is going to see millions and millions dead. If not... then we'll know. Honestly, we should start seeing it soon. There is NO WAY they can social distance or even be sanitary in these conditions. I hope for their sake that this virus has been WAY over blown. We're going to find out soon.

It is what Trump has wanted the entire time, India is protecting India's status above all else (India First!) and now you're complaining about it.
