It is what Trump has wanted the entire time, India is protecting India's status above all else (India First!) and now you're complaining about it.
No I’m complaining about the fact that we completely sold ourselves down the river regarding manufacturing to the point that if a nation does something like this, we’re fricked. All in the name of globalism.
That’s what I’m complaining about.

When I hear someone say "big pharma ", I automatically know they are clueless about business and pharmaceutical companies.
And probably, most anything else.

Virtually always: The pharmaceutical industry is evil and raping and pillaging
Now: Save us, we need you! You're not doing enough fast enough
The pharmaceutical industries are evil pieces of shite because they get funding from the government to develop drugs and medicines. Often time the drugs they create doesn't cure what it was funded for and they never have to pay that money back. Then the US government gives the drug company full copyrights to the drug that was created. The drug company then overcharged 1000% what it cost to make the drug. So drug companies are getting funded by US tax payers to only overcharge them later on for life saving drugs they paid to create.

If they know what's best for them, they'll hand it over.

The US should have a TON of leverage in negotiations here.

Hydroxychloroquine and its precursors are not terribly difficult to produce nor obtain.

Jokes on them. The Trump miracle cure has been debunked by Fauci and Snopes.
Is India going to start hoarding the toothpaste next?

I don't blame them. I hope they all do this because it will wake us up even more to the fact that our country was sold out from under us. However, I think we'll start making our sh!t here from now on at least until the next Bush is in office to sell us out along with the other politicians and chamber of commerce.
I see a sudden expediency to building a wall and restricting even legal immigration greatly along with full on revolution in American manufacturing. It won't be pretty, but it will be what we need in the longer run.

Tell me when the USA will produce its first batch of this stuff.

This hydroxychloroquine stuff must work, what other reason would they have for banning its export.
They have four times the population of the USA, but they have fewer than 120 deaths associated to the corona virus and fewer than 4,300 people have tested positive. I get that they might not be performing a ton of tests, but look at the total fatalities. They are doing something right.
Let's face it, they don't have a stellar reputation when it comes to hygiene.

India, China, and Russia are not openly reporting numbers to the WHO. Duh.

IF they think the drug is effective, do they not owe it to their billion+ citizens to ensure they can manufacture enough for their population before they export it to others?
I mean, I'd hope and think Trump would do the same with the US, no?
The hypocrisy of some people is amazing. Apparently everyone should be sending the US everything before anyone else.
