Experts say it’s possible that some of the jump in at-home death stems from people infected by the virus who either didn’t seek treatment or did but were instructed to shelter in place, and that the undercount is exacerbated by lack of comprehensive testing.

It’s also possible that the increase in at-home deaths reflects people dying from other ailments like heart attacks because they couldn’t get to a hospital or refused to go, fearful they’d contract COVID-19.

I mean, these sound like pretty reasonable assumptions

what are the "at home" numbers now compared to previous year of "at home", "at work", "at the store", "at the beach", combined?

because for the most part, people are no longer at those places, but are at home.
so the numbers should theoretically be skewed that direction.

Maybe there’s a spike in people dying at home because everyone is at home?

Makes too much sense, there’s got to be a different reason

Media: "Stay home unless you're literally dying."

Also media: "The body count from people dying at home is astronomical!!"

Makes too much sense,

It doesn't make sense because of no matter if you are at home or not you go to the hospital, Dr, or a clinic if you aren't feeling well. That isn't happening right now as much as it normally does.

Sounds more like they are just trying to inflate the numbers to make it sound worse than it really is. Hell, NY added 3700 unconfirmed COVID-19 deaths, just because it "probably" was the cause. Politicians justify killing the economy.

I don’t know anyone that died at home.

Do you?

Does anyone else?

I still do not know anyone that has coronavirus. Yet I know plenty that have lost pay or their job over it. fricking ludicrous.
