There is so much fail in your post. First, we have responded much quicker than Italy, so you’re wrong about that.
Second, Your sky-is-falling panic is ignoring a lot of mitigating statistics. Why does India have such a low rate of spread? Why Singapore and Hong Kong? Most of all, why sub-Saharan Africa? Nigeria gets lots of world travelers, so they should have been amply seeded in Port Harcourt, Warri, Lagos, and Abuja. They are crowded in unsanitary conditions. There are 10’s of millions who are immunocompromised. They should be suffering worse than any country. Why aren’t they?
Look at the countries that are suffering. Look harder at those who aren’t. I see heat and humidity jumping off the screen as mitigating factors. If so, this will be a nothing burger in Louisiana. I’m not saying it’s not important, because Vermont lives matter, but it will soon be warm even there.

Big business has sufficient cash reserves to ride out a several month downturn. The same can’t necessarily be said for small business. That’s where we need to be worried.

There will be economic damage but it will be uneven. Some industries will be hurt more than others. Some will actually benefit.
Government is going to have to help, and they are.
Also, businesses need to start paying a lot more attention to business interruption insurance.

The economy is strong because people are spending money. What happens when no one is going out, spending money as usual at restaurants, gas stations, day care, or other non-essential things? How many small businesses will fold because the House just passed a bill that allows employees to stay home and still get paid? I'm not worried about the illness, but the reaction to it is very worrisome.

It’s all temporary. If it lasts more than a couple of months then I’d get worried.
I know a lot of vendors this weekend lost their asses off for the LA Sportsman Show. All the expense to travel, rent booths and setup, then the governor ordered it shutdown yesterday. Even though it was open yesterday, the crowd seemed lighter than usual for a Friday. But Sat and Sun are the busy days where they make all their money. Now multiply that by every other trade show or festival that is being cancelled and all those affected vendors that depend on those types of events for a large chunk of their incomes. Those losses will trickle down to affect the rest of the economy when everything reopens because of the people who felt the immediate impact will be struggling to keep their heads above water and not have money for discretionary spending like entertainment, dining out or taking vacations.
All this stuff closing and events cancelling for 3-4 weeks is going to hurt a lot more than I think most people realize

This isn’t 100% accurate. I’m reading articles about people with no predicting medical conditions in their late 20’s dying from the virus

China had maybe .02 of deaths under the age of 25.
By the way, Italy has a median age of almost 10 years on the US. Their population is much older therefore the stats there cannot be compared to here.

Airlines, Cruise lines, O&G industry, and ancillary companies that support those industries are gonna get their arse handed to them. Then, it will trickle down to small business, the largest employer in the country. The economic impact will be massive.

There will be some disruption but no collapse. Supply lines can be replaced if China doesn't get back to normal. Export markets will recover in the long run. The demand isn't going away.

If it's a company that faces cash-flow issues, you are supposed to go to the IRS to get a cash advance against these tax credits. Yep, the extremely efficient IRS is the lead department on distributing money to the millions of small business that will be forced to shut down, while still paying their employees. This is getting worse by the minute, and I'm not referring to the mass hysteria over a head cold.
