Then why are there any limits at all?

if you are on unemployment or SS then you shouldn't be getting a check.

But not all of us are at risk of losing our jobs and/or not being able pay bills.

People already living off government assistance fall under this group not at risk. This could go on for months, and unlike most of this country, their paychecks won't stop.

Are you reading a different thread?

The only anger being expressed is towards non working, non tax paying citizens.

what a terrible take. People on unemployment and SS pay into this government and they buy goods and services.

Beyond that, it's the just and Christian thing to do.

I honestly don't have a problem with the income limit. What I do have a problem with is if people already subsisting on taxpayer dollars, who are under zero threat to their government provided income, also get these checks.

That is defacto what the income limit is doing. At least to an extent. Everyone should get a check if the point is to stimulate the economy as some have said.

I'm sorry that you're not suffering through being unemployed or on social security during an economic cliff dive.

All this stimulus plan is, is a way to keep the poor from rioting and stealing upper middle class and rich peoples stuff.

I'm in the upper middle class arena and I appreciate paying these idiots off so they don't come rob my stuff.
