Hickok45 on YouTube convinced me to buy a Glock 19 Gen 4 a few years back. It was a good pistol.

I rely on trusted authoritative sources where it is not apparent that advertising is occurring.
Consumer Reports famously does not have advertisements in their publications. Their publication became my consumer product bible.
Another is Cooks Illustrated.
Neither Kim Kardashian (not even an expert on the stuff that made her famous) nor Shaq will influence my opinion. I can’t think of anything that Shaq might endorse that I would value his opinion on.
But Gordon Ramsay did with that Hexclad skillet. It quickly became my favorite skillet.

I was looking for some aftershave. I picked up the Old Spice classic and thought nah this will make me smell like a grandpa. When I was putting it back on the shelf I noticed that the box said "if your grandpa didn't use it you wouldn't be here right now".
Made me chuckle and I bought the old spice.

I bought a can of Axe body spray in like 1998. I think that may be about it.

I’ve pulled the trigger on a few outfits from Flag and Anthem that were posted on Instagram.

Been looking at getting a 10mm for bear protection, seems every Youtuber is hawking their sponsored guns, hard to get a really good, objective review.

3am infomercial for reverse weight fishing lures.
Fascinating watching it swing away from the caster if given slack line. Worth it for the time and I did catch a lot of fish over the years.
Made it easier to cast under stuff and expand the range just a bit.

A fellow making a 1950s pickup truck into a submarine with waterproof tape.
Especially the Cajun version.

Hai Karate commercials. Didn’t work as advertised.
