In the past, what type of advertising got you to pull the trigger on something?

That Slap Chop guy could sell me anything.

Scantily clad attractive women.

A, then a pop up ad on social media.

An infomercial for the Beer Machine inspired me to order it and try home brewing. The thing blew up in my refrigerator on the first batch.

There was an old Gin ad in a newspaper in the 90s. It had a hot chick leaning over a pool table, and I think it read, "if you think you're too tired to go out now, what do you think you'll feel like in your 30s?" Bang, I'm going.
The irony was that it was in the paper in Ruston/Munroe which is one of the least good places to be on earth for nightlife.

As a white left leaning independent, I’ve always liked penis ads

Gordon's ads got it done for me.

I’m too cynical to be bought.

At election time, we elect our leaders almost 100% of time solely based on television ads placed by the candidates themselves about one another and political punditry television channels that are downright laughable.
Nowhere else in life is such an important decision based on information that we know is not true.

If a pretty lady flirts with me, there is a much better chance of me buying something
If it’s a normal chick or a dude, that’s probably gonna be a no.
If the dude works out and has a nice arse, it’s a maybe

Food commercials sometimes get me.

The vintage Rolex ads are pretty cool actually. The company makes great watches, but they were / are absolutely elite at marketing compared to peers (and those a level or two above).

I thought the original Dollar Shave Club ad was so funny that I did a trial subscription
