No you’re being a condescending prick. I’m not going to lead you by the nose through all of the work that goes into a good smoked brisket aside from temp control, suffice it to say your argument is ridiculous .

I enjoy using one of these simply because it gives my forearms a good workout and I believe it drills a better hole than an electric one.

Wrong. Read the thread again. Your post calling someone a condescending prick is at a level of hypocrisy than rivals the political board.

Janky, when your vagina heals you’ll feel much better. They’re just knives, let it go

More pathetic than bringing up 2 day old threads because your feelings are still hurt?
Look in the mirror pal.

I got me a big ole LyfeTyme from Uvalde Texas. It weighs just over 700 lbs lol

Wow, you might want to try calming down a bit. You started with being a "condescending prick" by basically saying someone that doesn't do it your way is masturbating with their BBQ pit. Don't act like a dick if you don't want others to call you out on it.

Prolly should move this to the outdoor board...
Also, most importantly... how much you want to spend?

Oh, kind of like how you jerk off for the arm workout and because jerking it is better than the awful experience of sleeping with your wife?

Be careful. That will get you called a clueless idiot who's totally wrong on the FDB.
Apparently lump in komados are the only way to smoke these days.

This is where I would start. Electric is especially nice if you want to set a Boston Butt to smoke overnight, or if you can't keep close to the smoker during the day.
That being said I have a propane smoker I bought from Sam's that has served me well.

can't go wrong with an electric smoker

It's not the only way to do it, but it's the easiest way to get consistent results.

I’m fine being called a dick, in fact I frequently surely deserve it.

I’m late 20’s with an 18 month old and another due in November. Small family and not alot of time to sit near a smoker all day. I love my Masterbuilt Portable Electric Smoker. I can’t entertain 40 people with it but can do 2-10 lb boston butts in it in 10 hrs, 2 racks of ribs, 1 whole brisket etc. Gets to temperature quickly and is consistent. I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking to cook for family/a few friends.

I second this. I can mow the yard, cook sides, run errands, sleep, etc with master built electric/ amazenpellet tray and bbq that comes out is amazing.
Personally I like that I don't have to fiddle with it or load wood chips ever 30 minutes to an hour.
I usually do a bunch of ribs with just a dry rub, then seal them in a vacuum bag and freeze them. Then when I get ready to eat them just defrost. Fire up the charcoal grill, spread on some BBQ sauce and they are ready in 20 minutes.
Same thing with butts, do two at a time, then vacuum seal and freeze.
