A few years back there was a lawyer in Lafayette who drove around in his Porsche with a license plate that said "1 Third" or something similar.

I think nowadays most shysters have gone to 40%.

33.3% if settled before court, 40% if tried.

So settlement firms like the ones mentioned here are making 33.3%

I had an insurance defense case against a young lawyer from Morris Bart.

The guy was actually a skilled attorney.
