I remember it well. I was about 6 or 7, playing a game called “Tic-Tac-Toss”. I make a bad throw and drop the F-Bomb. My mom hears me from the kitchen and loses her mind. I actually got my mouth washed out with soap.

Dropped the f bomb when the mailman came and didn’t bring my Goosebumps fan club box. First time I ever saw smoke come out of my mom’s nose.

Dropping the N bomb in front of my mother after my father told me and my brother it was fine to call them that.

I learned on that day that my father was wrong.

Backyard of my MawMaw’s house in Baton Rouge both times. First, I gave MawMaw the bird (don’t ask me why, I have no damn clue). Thought for sure I could outrun her. I thought wrong. Drug me to switch bush beating me the whole time.

Second time I was playing the in the backyard and a bee got tangled in my hair and stung me. Ran into the house crying to get my mom to help and said “bitch” in front of her. She commenced to wearing out my backside.

While the bee was still in my hair.

I don't think I ever said a curse word in front of my parents.

Same here. I don't ever remember cussing in front of my parents.
Even a small word.

It was storming and I was sitting at the kitchen table doing homework. My brother came in the room and took a chair from the table so he could reach a jar of butterscotch candies above the stove. There was a crash of thunder and my brother got started and dropped the jar of butterscotch and it smashed right by my feet and I yelled “Holy Sh*t!”

My mom was within earshot and she was not happy for multiple reasons. She made me take a teaspoon of cod liver oil. It was awful.

I was about 7, and I forget what exactly led up to this, but my mom kept nagging me and I had enough and I slammed my hat on the ground and yelled at her “man, frick YOU!”

Then her eyes got real big and I knew she was about to come grab me so I ran into my room and locked the door. Before she could get a paper clip or something to unlock the door, I went out the window, grabbed my bike and went to my friend’s house.

Surely I got the beating of a lifetime when I got back home, but I really don’t remember the punishment.

The N word was not a bad word in my house growing up, but we couldn’t call each other that. I used the word “damn” to my brother when i was about 8. My dad was around the corner of the house welding and heard me and came to see what was going on. I took off running and he ran me down and whipped my arse and sent me to my room. He later came in and told me he only whipped me for running from him.

Minding my own business walking into the kitchen and accidently bump a pot on the stove. Mom, who must of been in a bad mood, slaps me on the head. Me, must of just gotten in a bad mood, call her a shite arse, wrong move. She's on the phone and can't get to me so I make a break for it. My older two sisters were in the kitchen also and they make after me, catching me outside. Bring me back in like I was an old western outlaw with a bounty on my head. My mom drags me into her and daddy's room as dad was sitting reading the paper and watching either gun smoke or perry mason. She tells him what I said, and I sit on the bed until whatever show was over with. After the show was over he gets up and unwraps his leather belt and commences to work on me. Lesson learned.

Dad used to bring me and a friend fishing every Thursday during summer. Lost a big fish and let the F bomb out. He never said a word. So we thought we had clearance to cuss like sailors. He stops and lets us know in no uncertain terms, if he hears that either one of us drops a curse word in front of our mothers he was going to beat the shite out of both of us. And he meant it.

I was in the 2nd grade, the week before LSU played Ole Miss. I was allowed to say "Go to Hell Ole Miss, go to Hell".

I thought that allowed me to clearance to continue on with my foul mouth ways. I was rudely mistaken.

Handful of days later, dropped the F-Bomb in front of my mother (I had no clue what it meant, heard someone in school say it). She wore me out that afternoon, and for the life of me, I cannot remember if she told my dad or not when he got home. But if she did, he would have just picked up where she left off.

Lesson learned.

Nvr cuss in front of my parents. Rarely in front of women.

In jr high I did get my arse beat once when I was shadow boxing with my dad. He came in with a good combo, and I stepped back and said "alright lets do this Buster". 5 seconds later I was on the ground, and he said "dont ever call me that again". I think it took me a decade for it to randomly dawn on me that he thought I called him a "bastard". So closest I got to cussing in front of them.

I was driving with my mom in the car. It involved the F and the N word.
