It’s fine tho because the people gentrifying Nola are the same people that constantly have to put Black lives matter signs/flags in their front yard. It’s hilarious to see an area where a bunch of Libtards now live. You can tell they are trying super hard to impress POC

The people who live in these run down, lower middle class neighborhoods, for the most part don't own the property where they reside, and are at the mercy of Slum Lords who will sell out at the drop of an over-inlated offer from Biff and Buffy or a homo.

But they’re losing the soul and culture of the neighborhoods. You know? The thing that made them less desirable to begin.

I would be if the property taxes suddenly quintupled to the point that I was forced to sell it and move.

People that oppose gentrification are the same people who love communism-lite, aka, socialism.

Because black people and white liberals are racist AF... and no matter what whitey does, it will never be enough to please them. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. You can’t win. So, that’s why I have chosen not to even try anymore. If I’m “privileged,” and “racist,” so be it. Don’t care. Sorry, not sorry.

It’s the cycle of a neighborhood you learn about in real estate school. Growth, contraction, decline, revitalization. It happens to every neighborhood at varying degrees and varying lengths of time.

My big issue with “gentrification” is it only applies when white people move to “black areas.” Black people are mad white people are moving in. Spike Lee is publicly telling white people to “get the frick out of Brooklyn.” Imagine if that was a white person, a white celeb, today, publicly and angrily telling black people to “get the frick out” of his town. Holy shite... their career would be over, instantly. Not to mention probably have death threats etc.

On the other hand, black people are completely free to move into white areas and frick them up. It has happened all over the country. I can’t even drive by the old home my Grandmother lived in when I was a kid because black people moved into the neighborhood over the years, took it over, and it is a complete drug and crime ridden shithole now. I could likely get shot even driving down the street. This scenario is completely fine. Not a problem. Black people moving in to traditionally white areas and fricking them up, pushing the white people out who don’t want to live around rude, obnoxious, angry, violent pricks and criminals. No, those white people are “rayciss” for leaving (“white flight”). You just can’t win. So why try.

So... life. This happens to white people all over too but black people think it only happens to them. Life sucks. There are challenges. Those challenges are greater when you have less money. That’s why people who don’t work hard enough to better themselves to obtain higher paying jobs while they simultaneously pump out kids they cannot afford to have can only blame themselves. You made your choices. Live with it. Adapt. Do better. Quit crying and playing the victim and demanding people do your job for you.

Put the money aspect to the side

Imagine you are black & all your neighbors were once back.

Now all your new neighbors are the average Tigerdroppings poster.

You ever read the shite posted here? What people actually say & think when they have anonymity.

Yea, those are your new neighbors. Not the family you grew up with for 2 generations. You get fr33’ator & Kafka instead of people you share cultural camaraderie with.

Sure, it might suck for the black guy, but that’s life.

Imagine if you are white and your neighbors were once white. Now, you are surrounded by people that star in videos on Worldstarhiphop. Gun shots, drugs, etc are now prevalent in your neighborhood.

The responses to both of these issues should be the same.

And the black people in the neighborhood hate the white people. Awwww... your neighborhood changed. Welcome to life. Happens all over the country, all over the world, even in white neighborhoods. Ask longtime residents of Portland, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco etc. But it’s only “gentrification” and “racist” when it happens to black people. Black people, you’re not that fricking special. It happens to everyone. Suck it up. Deal with it. Move on. It’s called fricking life. You aren’t entitled to shite. Do better.

100% Don’t forget the booming bass car stereo systems that rattle entire buildings at all hours of the day and people can hear the bass inside their homes. That’s perfectly fine. But white people aren’t crying about “gentrification.” They just pack their shite and move. But that’s racist too. So, who cares. Just do what you want to do. There are always going to be crybabies and victims. I personally choose to leave and live somewhere where my quality of life is not diminished. But if people want, they should move in, fix up their homes, buy more properties. It’s life. Again, you are entitled to nothing. Adapt.

This is just sad. It’s sad that we just assume black people are “stuck” at whatever house/place they are at with no hope of moving up or moving on when opportunities present themselves.

If they own the house, they should see the opportunity to invest in their own home to sell and take the profits (and can move to wherever their “racial camaraderie” is).

If they rent, why do renters just get to assume that if they rent a cheap crappy area they are entitled to live there forever? And why would they want to? Have some fricking pride in yourself and get yourself out of the situation. Who wants to rent in a ghetto for decades?

The people there now could have fixed it up first themselves.

People can say whatever they want about taxes and costs, but the major issue is that there's a portion of the population that wants to simply not have to work at all. Ever.

I wonder what percentage of said people in an area being "gentrified" that are complaining, happen to be living on benefits that are mostly funded by taxes from those who live in nicer areas.
