Is magic involved? How could everyone know what you look like? Sure, tons and tons of people would but it shouldn't be too hard to find a place where nobody watches the news.
I'd wonder out into the middle of nowhere, break into the most BFE house I could find, hold the occupant/occupants hostage, and not let them receive news.
Unless there is bullshite fantasy rules in the scenario.

Another option would be to home invade someone, hold them and their kids hostage for 5 days, and make them answer the door and say you're not there if someone comes searching for you. You can hold a gun to their kids' heads in the other room as motivation to lie for you.

In that case I'm booking to miles of farmland in clinton, with a huge plantation type house with full utilities paid for, and no one living at.
Taking it a step further maybe even hide in the attic. There's nothing in either direction for miles, no cell service, etc.
The person who owns in isn't in good health and MIGHT use it once a year. I haven't spoken to the guy who I'm connected to it for over a year, he moved to Colorado.
Getting there in an hour, without using my car is the hardest part. I'd have to go lift or find a moped, atv, or something and drive my car the cloest to his property i can get to, then take the ATV the rest of the way. It would have to be very far though.
The hour limiting head start is the hardest part to concur.

Depends. There are swamps close enough to not need a boat, drive the car in and let it sink. I know of 3 different boats and where the keys are. They would have to go check the slip to know it was gone. 1 of those would put me in a time crunch though.

I immediately go to Wal-Mart, buy a hoodie, some pants that are way too big, shiny new shoes, and a flat bill with the price sticker still on.. Go to makeup section, and put on blackface disguise. Hide out in north BR motel for 5 days. Easy.

How about this: is my goal not to be found or to simply stay alive? What if I enter a bank just as they warn the general public about me, and I have a dynamite vest with a dead man's trigger on it to where if it stops receiving a pulse that it explodes taking out the other hostages with me. First I'd force someone to open the vault, get about a dozen or so hostages to go in it with me, and thus ensuring everyone's death if anyone tries to kill me or take me down? So long as I have enough nutrition to somehow stay up and aware, I may could last the 5 days at least living.
