My car is currently in the shop (I have an 09 Pontiac G6) and when I went to rent a car for the week, I was priveleged to get a 2018 Nissan Maxima. Wow, this car is impressive. Especially compared to my crusty old Pontiac, this car is WAYYY ahead. I love the burst this car has and the sleek design. It rides very smooth and the control is top notch. Also love the accessibility and screen display that my Pontiac does not have lol.

Anyone drive a Maxima? What are your thoughts on the car?

So a brand new car is better than a 10 year old car?

I’m shocked.

ETA: Echo the opinion on the above post. There is no way the Nissan’s CVT will last 10 years like your old car.

I think they look nice, but have not driven one before...next time I am renting, I'll try one out.

Nissans all have variable transmissions that grenade after about 90,000 miles.

Also, the Maxima hasn’t been a cool car since before the lame 2003 redesign.

I sold an Altima last year that I put 220k on it and never had engine work other than basics. And I abuse cars, really bad at keeping up with oil changes etc.

My thoughts are that I appreciate your simple life. If I were you I would t drive another car the rest of my life. I also wouldn’t eat steak. It’s going to make your ground beef patti steaks seem simple.

Absolutely, I have been doing a lot of research lately on cars because I am considering getting a commuter car. The only CVT's that haven't had a problem is the Toyota's, with Honda coming in second. If you want a car just buy a Toyota Corolla ( don't laugh the ones built from 2016 and up are not your Dad's corolla ) or a Camry and be done with it.

Nissan is the new Mitsubishi.

It’s for poor people with bad credit who are impressed by cheap, bland cars.

Pretty sure Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat has that wrapped up by a wide margin
