He frequently starts topics like this. Take a look at his topic history. His most recent shaming ones before this were shaming people for enjoying food or saying RFK should round up all the fat boomers and send them to camps

Oh, I wasn’t cooled down yet; that’s why I jumped in the pool.

It really wasn’t that bad in Metry at 8 AM.

Lifting is what guys do in their late teens and 20s. Once you hit 30, there is zero need to lift weights. Cardio will extend your life much longer and keep you in shape much more than weights.

You're a fricking idiot for thinking lifting weights is better for you than cardio once you get past 30.

I get more cardio with my legally migrated Latina in the morning & before bed, than OP gets in a month.

And I can get her to wear USA knee high socks if we want to get freaky & patriotic!

Don’t tell me how to stay in shape, worry about yourself!

What does lifting weights help with? Gaining muscle. Maybe if you have atrophy, it's a life saver, but gaining muscle doesn't prolong life. Nobody dies because they didn't have big enough biceps or pecs. But cardio is literally a life saver for very unhealthy people. It helps your heart a ton, lowers cholesterol, helps lose fat which causes heart problems and blood vessel blockage. Do you lower cholesterol and burn calories lifting weights? Definitely yes, but not at the rate of cardio. A balance of the two would be putting on those 50 lb weight vests and jogging. That'd be a great workout.

Not losing it decreases all cause mortality. Proven fact

MILLIONS of people die every year because they have porous bones and break their hip and get pneumonia in the hospital. MILLIONS

You’re right, a lot of evidence that strength training burns more calories than the same duration of cardio
