Port Barre where it’s sandwiched between two 65MPH zones.
Seemed like one of the easier speed traps to take caution.

The only thing this POS highway has going for it is that it connects Baton Rouge with travelers coming from north of Opelousas.
You consider that a good thing?

It usually is. But when you make this drive as much as I do (stopping and supporting businesses along the way, mind you), you're bound to get caught not slowing down from 65 one time.
It seems to me the only reason for the 65MPH stretch between Krotz Springs and Port Barre is to get people going fast enough to pull them over in either of the two.

I've officially decided not having to see shite, smell shite, destroy my vehicle and get pulled over are worth the risk of traffic being jammed up on the interstate
You are real salty about getting pulled over on a road that is notorious for speed traps. You knew better, and you got popped. Take the interstate and quit whining. I will continue to take 190, drive the speed limit, and get there before you.

Good in the sense that it's a gateway to Baton Rouge. But if you're making a general "Louisiana sucks" argument, I understand your frustration.

It's not the 99 times you actually do slow down that you have to worry about. Just wait - you'll get popped, too. It's simply what that speed zone is designed for.

Hit the brake when you are coming down that big bridge in Krotz Springs.

I would bet against it. My point is that when you wait until you get a ticket to jump on your soap box on anything you don't like about the road you just sound petty.

Oh by the way a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in Port Barre on 190 over the weekend

state, Highway 190 has now become littered with speed traps
Has become? It's been like that since I started driving in the mid 2000s
Don't speed on 190 baw

You can speed on the spillway bridge but that’s it.

Oh, trust me, I've been bitching about 190 for quite a while.
I have dealt with your shitty roads.
I have dealt with your filthy gas stations (outside of a few recent exceptions).
I have dealt with the dumping grounds for trash on both sides of the highway.
And I have dealt with the smell of burning shite marinated in chemicals that stays with you for a full 20 minutes after inhalation.
But I will not be dealing with it anymore.

It's not speeding in the sense that I want to go 80 in a 65.
It's speeding in the sense that I get pulled over going 60 in a 45 having just exited a 65 (yes, I typically drive slow to begin with).

The speed limit on 71 between that exit and LeBeau should be at least 65, not 55.

Only two way to keep me from 190:
1. Kartchner’s moves elsewhere or closes
2. The I-49 corridor is built from New Orleans to Lafayette

Yes, let me go on the record as being a supporter of Kartchner's. But unfortunately my 190 spending budget just got reallocated from them to the Port Barre Police Department.

Bro, if you live anywhere in this area, how can you not know about the speed traps on 190? I'd feel sorry for you if you weren't from around here, but you get popped in PB, KS, Livonia or Erwinville and that's on you.
You're just dumb.
