The only thing this POS highway has going for it is that it connects Baton Rouge with travelers coming from north of Opelousas. In addition to having some of the most horrible road conditions in the state, Highway 190 has now become littered with speed traps. I’ll gladly spend the 15 extra minutes and take I-10 through Lafayette. Highway 190 is nothing more than a visual tour of all the things that are wrong with Louisiana.

If you are heading out of BR this morning it will take a lot longer with I10 closed at Lafayette

The best part of 190 is the smelly area by the landfill.

Stinking up the area from the 2016 flood's rotting drywall.

No, Port Barre where it’s sandwiched between two 65MPH zones.

Forgot to add that nice olfactory addition to my rant. It complements the visual filth along 190 quite nicely.

Ah, Krotch Stings. Letting you know you're halfway to Bunkie for at least 50 years.

Before I49 was built, that drive to Ellick on 71 seemed to last for hours.

Or Port Barre. I go through Arnaudville just to avoid the port barre police.

You bite your tongue. Krotz Springs has the best boudin balls in the world. Aside from that, I’m not sure what else

lol those pieces of shite pulled me over for tint a long long time ago.

But I always do 5 under on 190 if I decide to drive home (NOLA). Good thing I haven't the last few times. That drive sucks arse from DFW.

I'm usually making the drive early in the morning or before rush hour in the afternoon.

I've officially decided not having to see shite, smell shite, destroy my vehicle and get pulled over are worth the risk of traffic being jammed up on the interstate.

Highway 190 makes Afghanistan blush.
