No idea what you are talking about…and judging by the other responses in this thread, neither does anyone else!

You will spend a lot of money, then almost certainly use it a few times , then let it sit. Gathering dust, mocking you.

I’m afraid that’s what will happen. Just looking for pros and cons. Seeing if anyone has been doing the cold plunges.

I'd consider a sauna over a cold plunge.

Everybody I know that’s gotten one has been all about it for a few weeks, then it just sits there for God knows how long without any use

Yes and it’s great. Clears the mind for sure. It also “allegedly” has other great benefits especially in regards to circulation.

The cold plunge sounds good in theory. It definitely has health benefits, as does the Steam or Dry Saunas. The problem is the cold plunge really really really sucks. It takes a special person that embraces things that are difficult, and are disciplined enough to make themselves do it consistently enough for it to make sense for you to own one.

It's a miserable experience. If you can get past the pain involved, and adopt this as part of a fitness routine, you will benefit immensely. It gives you a mental edge and makes you tougher mentally. It makes every day challenges, tasks and issues trivial in nature. It gives you confidence that any issue can be overcome because you are willing to put yourself through things that most people would give up doing. It is an act that choose to do that reassures you are built different that most people and can achieve and overcome anything.

The saunas are a better entry point to this. Same mental edge benefits without the misery. I am all about the saunas and indulge in it every day. I cannot do the cold.

Those cold water plunge bath things deprecate before you even buy one. You will have to pay someone to haul it off.

Cold plunge is fricking awesome.

One of my baws has a tank at his crib. 3 mins @ 54 degrees and you come out feeling brand new.

I couldn’t get into it. I did it in my pool and at a rehab facility. I don’t need to be in sub 60 degree water—ever. That 40 degree shite is insane. I lasted 45 seconds.

I prefer going from hot tub into 65 deg water and back and forth.

54 isn’t that cold…

Yeah, cold plunging really really sucks. Gotta survive the first 45 seconds and then you’re home free. But those first 45 seconds suck - especially if you head plunge as well.

Yea I'm not trying to dick measure but if you're going lower than 54, yours is probably smaller than mine.

Anywhere below 60 is going to be cold enough to get the health benefits.

Go somewhere and try those cold plunges. I can't get more than to my waist and I'm done.
