I loved the company, especially back when their customer service was unbelievably good. Also, 2 day prime shipping was a game changer. Those have gotten slightly worse, but they’re still good at shipping and customer service.

However, 90% of the stuff you get on Amazon is absolute junk. You want to order a couple phone chargers? They’ll will be shite that’s highly rated by bots. Their home goods are shite, most of their outdoor stuff is crap. Everything is just private labeled stuff from China. I don’t remember everything being this poorly made 10 years ago.

Can't buy something without running it through a review analyzer.

Bought a “new” roomba on prime day. Item that arrived was heavily used with the entire bottom covered in dog hair. Sent that beast back and not trying to buy another from them.

I ordered a $400 Garmin watch, two actually because the first one got delayed like 3 days on an overnight delivery so I reordered because I was leaving town for a week, and they sent me acne cream valued at $14.99. They "couldn't" let me return it via prepayed shipping label like the dozens of things I'd returned before so I had to pay to ship it back for refund. Whatever it was a couple of bucks.

Long story short, I still didn't have a refund almost 90 days later becuase it hadn't been processed through their returns center according to them. It took me being an a-hole and like 2 hours on the phone to get my $400 back for a watch they never sent me.

They've been horrible lately about being late and delivering things you didn't order.

Learn how to sort reviews correctly and actually read what they are saying. You should almost never be buying sponsored products either

It’s basically an online version of Harbor Freight for everyday items.

You can vet what you’re buying outside of Amazon. If they send you broken or mislabeled items, return it. If an item only exists on Amazon, then you already know why you’re buying it.

I've been saying this for years now but I swear some of their products that are name brand products are knockoffs sold under a brand name.

Of course I could be wrong, but years back I bought a pack of old spice deodorant (the gel kind) and everyone in the pack was pretty much water.

The first time I ordered a pack it was fine so I just bought another pack and when I got it it was the same thing. Then there was something else I bought from them and the quality was just awful. Name brand, but it was like a knock off version in the brand packaging.

I still use Amazon a ton but it really is a crapshoot. I ordered a pack of boxer briefs a while back. I liked them so I went and did “Buy it Again” a few weeks later and got a completely different brand sent to me

I need lighted caps for my vinyl fence. I don’t know how purchasing something is taking away from “living”

No, you're correct.

My PUR faucet water filters I ordered a couple of years ago were blatant knock-offs of the real deal.

I had to go to PUR direct to ensure I got the real filter.
