Don't worry, LuckyTiger. I'm sure there's more than a few LLOTOT slumpbusters who will throw you a pity lay. Don't forget to double bag it.

Yes. He'll thank us when he's playing in his back yard with his kids.

10 years and you aren't living together. Holy shite. You have commitment issues, baw.

No, but he should have figured this shite out about 6 years ago.

Don't get me wrong, the chick sounds like an dumb bimbo as well, but I get the fact that LuckyTiger knew better and was manipulating her for the poon all these years, decided to marry for the pussy, but then found his actually balls and realized he couldn't go on living with her. But now she's in prime kid rearing days and she really wants them now, which is going to frick with her even more mentally, and likely jump at the first guy who seems remotely passable to give her kids, and given my first sentence and the fact that she put up with this shite for 10 years, I don't trust her judgement of men.

Congrats on wasting a decade of her prime and ability to find a suitable life partner. You cut her chances in half. Shitbag.

It sounds to me you're making a very good decision. If you don't want to marry her, that's all that matters. Best of luck to you, and I know it's hard on the both of you.

I really hope you're cool with her fricking every one of your friends. And she's going to do every nasty thing she never did with you with all of them.

Actually, the sex has been the bees knees. I really couldn't ask for anything more in that regard. It has clouded judgment more than once.

He's 33 and in his prime.

She's 32 and has to start from scratch with about 5 good baby making years left.

And these idiots probably collectively burned through about 50K or more in rent or mortgages over these 10 years by not living together at least.

You're going to marry her in less than 2 years.

It's clouded your judgement for 10 fricking years. It's the only reason you've stayed with her, since you can't tolerate her enough to live in your own apartment. At least be honest with yourselves that you likely ruined her life because she was likely a ton of fun in the sack.

Classic case of "Grass is always greener" and cold feet.

You'll be pining for her in 6 months and alone and miserable for the next 4 years.

She will move on and be married to someone else within 2 years.

Enjoy.

My advice:
Get it done and get out of there. Don't linger and let her ask for reasons or explain why it can be different. You're not happy. So, you can't let her convince you otherwise because then you'll end up together for longer. You have the right to leave before real damage is done. After you break it off; turn your phone off and have some beers with a friend. Then focus on your work for a couple of weeks. That way it doesn't look like you broke it off to be a poonhound.

Okay I'm not buying it. There's either another woman or she's a psycho? Which one is it?

Where has he said that? He just hasn't had to commit to her. He loves her. He's breaking it off now as a defensive mechanism. If he doesn't it too close the wedding, a lot of stuff would have already been paid for. By doing it now, he can save face. But he does love her and once the fear of have lost her overcomes him (say in 1.5 months) he'll grovel at her feet for her to take him back. She probably will.

While I do feel some sympathy toward the girl for losing some good man-catching years, I side more with Lucky Tiger for knowing that a tough call needs to be made. Better to do it now than 5 years from now, married with a kid.
