My two neighbors each have labs. You can tell which lab belongs to which neighbor.

All dogs are over rated.
A lot of work and they are boring but they do give you some company when you don’t want to be alone even though it it just an animal.

Agree. Not that there aren’t some great labs, they are just so generic.
But at least they aren’t French Bulldogs. What a stupid craze. So many health issues and they can’t even give birth naturally (with some exceptions).

Exactly. Its like having a remote controlled best friend and protector.
GSDs are incredibly social and affectionate with family, but have that switch and can turn on a dime. But they are totally controllable.
They also pay attention and listen to you better than 90% of significant others.
