You can spend a billion each on Tyquarius and Shan'Quisha and still won't help. The parents have to care from the beginning

I'm glad my wife will be teaching at a school in the country where everyone is close and more old fashion. I'm not glad that florida is ranked 2nd to last in teachers pay. We just had twins, and she'll be home for the next 3 years until they go to school, so im hoping the awful system will swing the other way and we'll stop paying our teachers less than minimum wage.

It's a shame that so many want to be good people and guide and teach the young and the result of that is monetary punishment. 4 years to make less than fast food workers. How is that productive? There's a reason home schooling is skyrocketing.

He’s a prog. “More funding” is one of his programmed responses.

Was wondering when the pushback will start - could parents/former students sue because of the dumbing down of education?

Pushback has been going on for years and years from teachers. Leadership doesn’t listen because, like many corporations, they are only worried about the bottom line. In public education, that’s school scores and other data that, as OP said, can often be manipulated.

There is simply no accountability in the system for parents and students. Schools are happy to placate parents who have complaints about any disciplinary measures against their “baby” at the expense of the student body as a whole.

I won’t continue because this would turn into a tl;dr really quickly. I’ll just reiterate what I’ve said here many times, public education in its current form is not sustainable.

Who are you to say where God should or shouldn’t be? That’s laughable.

God can be anywhere he wants. I’ll add that a God of mercy grace and love is not a bad thing to have ina place where children may not get it from their parents.

1. Poor parenting

2. Unions

3. Communists undermining our education system for decades

You could have stopped your post, and this thread, there. That's 99% of it.

Both you and the dude above you are way off base. But that's not surprising.

Since some people need things spelled out for them, I'll clarify: schools need more money spent the right ways (i.e., funding for: teachers who actually teach, after school vocational programs for kids who don't plan to or cannot afford college, etc.)

What about a god that believes his creation is fallen, wretched, and deserving of eternal torture unless said creation acknowledges its wretchedness and begs that god to save them from said eternal torture?

God is not the correct answer….. but most religions I instill a sense of morals and accountability as instructions to live by. Which when pair with good parenting means you have better students that are receptive to learning

Virginia and New Hampshire both have Republican governors. New Jersey and Maryland have had republican governors in recent years.

But to answer your question: No I do not think that is a factor.

Why don't they spend the money they are currently getting in "the right ways"?

If they are wasting their current budget, why should it be increased?

This is the problem with government spending. No accountability.

Then why would the race of the students matter? It's a completely irrelevant aspect of the discussion, unless you view minorities as separate and unequal from whites in their capacity or desire for learning.

You'd have to ask them? Unless you think they are spending it in the right ways now.
