As I say at work when someone asks why a person did a thing: "Because they're a moron or an a-hole. Usually both."

It's a lot more than that.

You're not an idiot.

The ability to think you are one proves that you are at least a moron.

I had a flight cancelled in Charlotte a few weeks back. They came over the speaker and announced it. By the time the first of the complainers went up to the counter I had rebooked a flight for the next day, arraigned a hotel for that night, and reserved an Uber. The line to complain was continually growing as I was walking to the Uber.

It sucks but it happens. Not a damn thing the American Airlines folks could have done to change the weather.

Back then one also didn’t have to worry so much about ones flight being canceled.

Today flights are routinely rescheduled to another time of day or even possibly canceled altogether.

It is a problem that I hope works itself out one day, because it makes it more difficult to plan ahead than it ought to be, especially when one has a family and a work schedule to plan around.

I check out Twitter to see how folks are handling all these cancellations and it’s filled with people crying instead of handling their business.

So you know by checking twitter that they didnt also call the airline and handle their business?

The airline industry....

"Yes, I would like the Cannelloni"

"Okay sir, that will be $27"

"Sounds good...here is $27"

19 minutes later....

"Sir, we don't have the Cannelloni BUT we will give you the $12 childs spaghetti, still charge you the $27 and bring it to you tomorrow"

"Ummmm, yeah that doesnt work. I mean, I'll take the spaghetti but I am not paying $27 for it"

"Sorry sir, we don't do compensations for menu changes"

Were you able to get arrested at the hotel before you arraigned it?

Just kidding, that’s a funny spell check change.

You might be in the 85%.. everyone knows they give way better customer support through twitter DMs than calling a number or going to the company’s website and waiting in a virtual queue. I’ve gotten AT&T and Allstate issues both fixed through twitter DMs

I think it was Jordan Michaels who said “You miss 85% of the shots you don’t take.”

Did you mean idiots or assholes? Or maybe it's both? A-holes seems more appropriate.

I’m pissed I had a flight get canceled because the new flight they booked me on is almost 36 hours later and now I have to drive 2 hours to another airport to leave the same day

Also they said they canceled because of weather but they are full of shite
They are short staffed because of vaccine layoffs

I’m convinced that your 85% estimate is conservative.

The correlation between people who think this way and people who watch too much news is high.

Stay off the news and actually talk to people IRL. I bet your opinion changes.
